  1. So after doing more investigative works, weve come to a conclusion that the 1/F electrical circuit doesnt like computers. First Ive isolated my computer from the 1/F circuit by using a long extension cable and connecting it to 2/F circuit. The breaker on 1/F still trips but the circuit on 2/F is fine. Thinking it has something to do with the computer's "frequency" or "harmonics" thats affecting the circuit, I used another extension cable and hooked up my dad's computer to the 2/F circuit as well. So far the breaker for 1/F hasnt tripped yet. Gonna monitor things for a few more days to see if nothing else trips. Glad to know that theres nothing wrong with the computers, sucks that i had to spend a hundred bucks on a new PSU, but I guess it could go towards a future computer build. The electrician is gonna have fun debugging this.
  2. Thanks Moress, I understand having the washer and drying on the same circuit is not idea, but my computer trips the breaker even while the washer and dryer is unplugged from the wall.
  3. If I remember correctly, the dryer do have its own circuit, but Im not sure of its plugged into that specific socket or not. I have to check. Do you think buying a power strip with either RCD, ACFI or GFCI help my situation?
  4. I recently moved to a new house for about a month and a half and have been experiencing random breaker tripping. The sockets on each floor is protected by its own 32A circuit breaker. The floor Im on have 2 bedrooms, 1 office, 1 bath and 1 laundry room. The loading consists of 2 ITX desktop computer, a laptop, washer and dryer and a plethora of phone chargers, 3 desk lamps, 2 speakers, and a printer. When the tripping first happened, I suspected the washer and dryer machine was the culprit, as logically, those take up the most load. We had an electrician come and confirm as the breaker instantly trips when the washer was plugged in. We replaced the washer and but the problem still occurs. We asked the electrician to come again and he did more investigating and found out a bathroom exhaust fan socket was corroded so he replaced that as well. Also we had a spare way on the panel so he swapped that circuit breaker just in case the old one was worn out. Well that didnt help either, the breaker still trips. I did more investigating on my own as it ONLY happens during the day while Im on the computer. My family said while I was away at work, they've washed and dry a few loads of laundry while my dad used the computer in his study and nothing happened throughout the day. I suspected it was my computer since it only happens when Im using it so when it tripped again. I unplugged everything in my room, reset the breaker and plugged everything one by one until it tripped. When I plugged my computer in, it instantly tripped. I unplugged it, reset the breaker, and moved to another socket, plugged it in, and tripped. I tested every single socket on that floor and the same thing happened. So I started testing the sockets on other floors and low and behold, nothing happened. My computer specs are: Intel i5 CPU (I forgot which model) Gigabyte GA-H77N-WIFI motherboard silverstone 80 plus Bronze 500w power supply 8gb of ram 240gb SSD 120gb SSD 2TB WD Blue Zotax GTX 960 AMP! 2GB The computer has be running fine through the years since Ive built it and the only thing that could possibly trip the breaker would be the power supply. Not wanting to call the electrican back and tell me what I already know, I went and bought a Cooler Master V550 80 plus gold power supply. Upon contact, it didnt trip the breaker, so after 15 mins of use, it tripped the breaker again. I put the computer on a power strip with on off switches for each socket and had everything in the off position. Once I plug the computer into a socket that's turned off, it tripped the breaker. At this point Im pulling my hair out. I took my old power supply and just plugged it into the wall, with nothing else connected to it, just the power supply itself, and that too tripped the breaker. WTF is going on. My dad's basic word processing, i3, 8gb ram, 120gb ssp 450w ITX computer with no display card works perfectly fine, where as mine is tripping the breaker like crazy. The funny part is this ONLY HAPPENS DURING THE DAY and works fine at night. This doesnt make any sense.
  5. I know linus uses that pocket keyboard thing for years to scroll through his script but its becoming very distracting and unprofessional. Its 2016, Im sure he can buy/fabricate something that would allow him not to reach down into his pocket and press a button every time he needs to go to the next page on his script
  6. Autore because stealth mechanical keyboard
  7. OH SNAP....Its basically like the A2 fused together with bluetooth Its a bit more than what I wanted to pay tho...Also, I have to see if they have this in stock locally (Im not in the states)
  8. The GF is really into classical music lately and requested a good quality Bluetooth speaker for Christmas (Which is a good thing cuz I have have to scratch my head thinking what to get her). Ive been doing some research on Bluetooth speakers and almost all reviews points towards battery powered, portable Bluetooth speakers. I was thinking along the lines of bookshelf speakers similar to the Audioengine A2 with built in Bluetooth connection but that seems non existent or out of my price range (~$200) Most of the review for Bluetooth speakers includes the Bose Soundlink Mini in their top picks. I heard it in person while walking past their shop in a mall and they are pretty good for the size and within my price range. But I cant help to think that traditional 2 speaker system would be superior to the Bose. The Bose would be perfect as its compact, packs a great punch and simple. Traditional 2 speaker system might sound better, but not as elegant and needs additional hardware to make to wireless. What would you guys choose?
  9. dbrand is an awesome non sleeping robot...give me that phone
  10. the thin bezel and sleek design won me over
  11. Im surprised that 1) Linus even bothered with these speakers consider they are half the price of the others hes reviewing and 2) he gave a somewhat negative review on this product. Almost everywhere you go, audiophile websites, other reviewers, youtube vid, whatever...everyone have nothing but praise about these speakers, and here you have Linus trashing these speakeres while comparing it with $500 speakers doesnt seem to do them justice.
  12. The router is brand new, I just bought it 2 days ago and it still have the same issue. Its not the routers problem. All other wireless devices at home is working fine
  13. Thanks for the replies. The wifi card is an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230. Here are the things I did to troubleshoot: 1) Restart computer --> didnt work 2) Reinstall wifi driver --> didnt work 3) update wifi driver --> didnt work The thing about the driver, Im not sure if I updated the driver or not. Device manager still say I have the older version, but when I went on Intel's website and used their auto update, they say I have the latest already. Its been less than a year since I bought the motherboard, I guess I could send it in for warranty work if else fails, but that would be the last resort
