  1. Hi, i have this at&t Samsung galaxy s9 that is out of at&t's range so i can't update its software to the newer version which is fine, my problem is that I'm just trying to fix its camera app, it does this weird glitch that crops the image while taking selfies and its very annoying and sometimes the colours are shit af so what i wanna do is that i want to update it to the latest version that's for Samsung's android 9. Currently its at 9.0.03.22 and the update i downloaded will make it 9.5.04.6, is that possible? Can i update it this way? And if it doesn't work, how can i revert it back to the version it was?
  2. Oh no i didn't mean that all the components get hot i meant the body (its good as a heatsink) and the battery temps are good around 37c they dont go crazy like the cpu, btw i was wondering umm is there a chance that my phone's heatsink heatsink isn't perfectly intact with cpu or its missing some thermal compound i was just thinking, does that make any sense to you?
  3. Hmm my phone starts warming up from the same area as other normal s9s (close to the power button) and the heat spreads out nicely to the rest of the body (the phone does not feel painful to touch as 65-70c should, i would describe it as slightly unpleasant). Anyways, should i keep using it then? Would it be safe? Should i be worried? And does this mean that this is some bullshit done by samsung cause clearly my phone's scores are ok
  4. Ok i ran some geekbench tests and the results show that it does thermal throttle to control the temps which means that it isn't one of those which are rooted and set to not thermal throttle at all to give max performance at the cost of damage ig, i mean we cant check this much while buying a phone (talking from an avg user's perspective) my temperature readings are incorrect i feel (i tried a few apps and they showed readings like these) are my temp sensors fucking or is it because of the broken android 9 one ui 1.0 wdyt
  5. Hi guys, my s9 works normally but today i download cpu-z to check my temperatures and they are unbelievable, i checked and saw people who were worried abt getting 40-41c temps and then there's me, mine are in the 60-70c range(while gaming when the phone is idle the temps are around 40c) and idk what to do i was playing cod on high settings and did not stutter for once, i ran a 3dmark benchmark on my phone and it ws better than 92% of them, the phone does not feel hot to the touch at 40c while it should i have this other phone and it starts to feel hot when i am gaming and the temps hit 38-39 (just adding ofc yes the phones feels fairly hot like hot hot when it reaches those 60-70 temp ranges) so does anyone know what is happening here
  6. Hi guys I have this at&t s9 it is perfectly fine and runs nicely but unfortunately it is at&t branded so my question is that is there a way to update it I currently have android 9 with one ui 1.0 I want update it to the latest version so there a way like thru VPN or something or idk anything, any help would be appreciated
  7. Ok I took it to the shop and ya the board was busted it died from overheating, thanks for responding
  8. I don't think that its a battery issue what if there's something wrong with the Mobo? It used to thermal throttle real bad Helio p22 phones perform better in PUBG than this one, I pulled the settings down to smooth and it would still stutter (the only way to run it smoothly would be to put ice cubes underneath it)
  9. Ok look I used to have this tablet whose battery I actually killed by repairing a charger (I joined the opposite terminals) but it used to turn and function ok it just won't charge anymore (stuck at 0%), the OnePlus isn't even doing that like I said the power button does nothing and when you put it on charging it enters a bootloop
  10. Dude but it used to charge the other phone perfectly fine and it's only 10w, OnePlus 3T can go upto 20w how's that going to hurt it
  11. The phone wasn't on charging tho when it started doing this
  12. I ws charging it with a weird changing brick that used to kill normal USB cables but this time I ws using type c (actually I ws too lazy to go get a new brick and I had alot of cables so I thought it wouldn't matter if another cables dies), could this be the reason?
  13. The battery timing wasn't great but it used to run ok I had this weird app and for temperatures and they were around 25-27 while the CPU used to go as high as 64 or more
  14. Hi guys, I have this oneplus 3t and I ws just using SoundCloud and suddenly turned off I thought maybe I accidentally did it and turned it on again (i ws walking with the phone in my right hand, the power button's right underneath my hand when I'm holding it like that and when you hold it the menu opens next to it around the skin under your thumb so there can be two accidental operations at the same time), got back to my music and it did the same thing again (i think it did that on its own even the first time), now when I hold the power button it does nothing (charging was around 50%) and when I put it on charging it turns on for a sec, vibrates and shut down and this cycle keeps going. I should also mention that I ran a few 3dmark benchmarks on it the results were really bad like my score was the worst out of every oneplus 3t that's been tested (also it gets really very hot that it becomes painful to the touch when playing PUBG) What's wrong with it can someone pls tell me that, any help would be appreciated
  15. Sorry man, i'm kinda new and i'm still figuring stuff out, won't happen again
