Thankyou, I guess I'll let the ssd be as it is atm with some free space. For ram.. I have 2 sticks each 4 gb. Of different models (I wrote the 2rx8 and 1rx4 to tell what kind each of them is) and both of them work. But on only 1 slot. While the other slot which has stuff like 1.5v written on it (the ram slot above the ssd slot) doesn't seem to work. I've been testing it since I posted here. But to no avail. So just wanted to check if I am doing something wrong here. Also, curious about what discrete amd gpu model this machine runs on. (even on gpu z it says 7600m series and not the exact numbers)

Apologies, I know it was too much tonask at once and became confusing.. 1st: I had 4 gigs hynix 2rx8 on hp envy.. And had another laptop with a 4 gig 1rx8 Samsung ram which I'm trying to install in envy.. 2nd: I'd like to know what that might be.. Because my intel processor and amd card both have copper pipe on it.. While this was kinda like this with a black protector thing on top that too deliberately not covering it. 3rd: I tried figure it out a bit.. It's ssd in raid 0 acting like a 30 gb cache and my 500gb hard disk is running in 'accelerated' mode, but ssd shows 4gb space unformatted in disk partition.. So, was wondering if I should use it.. Or if I can lower the cache & increase the other partition. 4th: I am unaware of the exact name of my amd 7600m series card. I have specs and everything but don't know the exact name to search in amd website. Like eg. 7610, 7690xt etc. So I'd like to know exactly what card it is.

Guys, I Had an Envy 4, I5-3317u 7600m Amd ( vendor id 1002, device id 6840) Samsung Mzmpc032hbcd-000h1 ssd, 500gb hard drive Currently on win 10 pro 64 bit, hynix 2rx8 4 gb and I decided to add some Ram to it (was only on hynix 4gb before) Problem 1: Most rams in India are outta stock or expensive atm so I decided to get one 8 8gig for my another lenovo lappy and pulled out the 4gb ram off it hoping it would run on this envy.. Turns out.. It isn't.. And even when I install both rams it doesn't read the Samsung 4gb 1rx8 ram from another lappy.. And even when installed, it's only reading from the previous ram. Can someone help solve this issue? Problem or at least question 2: What is this.. no heatsink or anything. Should I put one? Problem 3: all my hard drive show up as ssd and I can't defrag them in windows defragger and my ssd isn't even formatted and shows 4gb unused. The lappy is fast and snappy though. So, was curious if it's some boot drive or some arrangement they used in old days? Should I use my ssd or is it in use for something I might be unaware about. Also it's in Raid 0 mode and shows 30 gb in intel rapid storage for cache. And 4gb ffs for data (I don't know what ffs is). (p.s. I don't know much about raids) (ssd below the empty ram slot) Problem 4: can someone please tell my exact name of graphic card? I'm curious. Also I can't seem to install radeon adrenalin on it, is it unsupported (pretty sure it is but still wanna be sure)

I was tired of changing my paste again & again & wasting it (was ordering coolers which didn't fit like antec a400 & had to put up the stock amd fx one again.. used arctix mx-4) so when I got my gammaxx 400 I only used the small pouch thermal paste.. It was a major upgrade for temp. (now usually around room temp) & sound. It hasn't been much long just few months. So just askin what was your experience.. Did it dry up or something? Also o.p. This advice is correct, my pc case iball black stallion has a side bump & it fits because of the bump. I used a Ruler to measure the gap from above the processor to be kinda sure.

Yea my current setup takes less than 300w. In future too the chances of it going higher than 400w are low.. But will that 3-4 ms transfer time save my system from abrupt shut down on power loss? It's my main concern. Also a newbie question if I should plug the ups in connection to my home inverter or direct power supply. Does it affect performance or transfer times?

Hello, I wanted some help with getting an Uninterrupted Power Supply (Ups), in India. I wanted to know how many Milliseconds transfer time I should be looking for. I have an Antec eag pro 750w gold. Fx 8320, 970a ds3p & 1050ti. Also, When there are power cuts my pc shuts down which I know might be dangerous, but nothing bad has happened yet and I want to avoid it. I'll soon be upgrading to current or next gen. ryzen & a mid tier gpu after the new models come out. I was hoping for Ups in 50-75 usd range.. And only want it to save me from the sudden shut down on power cut as my home inverter is pretty good with good backup. Any other solution would be helpful. I'm also looking for future upgrades and not needing to get a new psu. With ryzen 3-4's and nvidia amperes. Currently I only have fx 8350 & 1050ti but my old psu got busted after 200+ hrs continuously gaming ac odyssey and other games lol it was old & cheap under 30-50usd I guess. It now makes some burning smell so I decided not to use it or any cheap psu lol. So it's one for earth & one for high current.. Will wait few more hours before placing order. Can anyone confirm if companies like antec respect warranty?

Hello, I need help with choosing a sub 80-100$ or 6-7k inr psu. I have checked the psu list but still thought it would be better to get second opinions. I am currently trying choose between antec's 80+ gold semi modulars but different series https://antec.com/product/power-series.php I'm confused between 700w neo eco zen, 750w Earthwatts pro & HCG750 Because neo eco zen is listed as new and others are higher priced but idk if that means higher quality.. I hope antec respects the aq7 warranty they give. Idk service centre of Corsair & cooler master if they are in India and respect warranty claims then I can get some model from them too..

I found deepcool assassin iii at about 100usd i think it has less warranty too.. Should I get it? It claims to be the noctua competitor. It's about the same price as a ryzen 3600 about 200usd on amazon (Indian Pricing is dumb atm) Just the noctua nf - f12 fans alone cost about 60 usd varying with diff. Models ofc. I want performance per dollar and avoid paying huge amount for something available for much less in other places.

Yes I did consider it but it's available for a huge 180 usd here also am don't know if Air cooler will still give cooling performance during summers at about 40°c room (if yes then will look for a cheaper alternative at a reasonable price) or if things like corsair hydro aio would be able to do it better.

I've stuck with my fx-8320 black edition unlocked, gigabyte 970a ds3p for long along with phoenix 1050ti oc, iball stallion case. And now I am soon going to upgrade to better hardware cpu, motherboard and case. But since I've shifted my rig to my bedroom one earsore thing I have neglected for so long is the damn amd stock cooler or a jet engine noise simulator with temps hitting 74° at 20-30° ambient temp. While playing stuff like assassins creed Odyssey And I need to buy any cooler available quiet enough and with performance gains. Problem is where I live the ambient temp. Without an Air conditioning can go high upto 40°c+ and 'winter has gone' :P My budget for a cooler is about 10k inr or about 132 usd and the cooler should be able to at least handle the ryzen's 3-4 (600-700) in near future :) Aio's & air coolers only thank you. Would be extra grateful if the companies have a service location in India (like corsair) to claim warranty too (or that warranty year number would just remain a number to me ) (p.s. Might be too much I'm asking for but that's why I'm here.. )
