  1. Hi, ive literally just bought my new chair, but i forgot to put something on, and it was impossible to remove the base of the chair i thought until i found a video on the matter, ill link it. Please watch it to understand what i mean, https://youtu.be/7Hvb4gdI_j0?t=85 only a few seconds is enough to understand, i just had to remove the base of the chair, i did so and put it back together, but now the piston is not secure. does anyone have any experience with this? ill also inlcude a picture of the problem.
  2. I think i figured it out. i had to go into device manager and change my "band preference" to 802.11a. which uses 5ghz. its connected to AC now
  3. nope. its the exact same name, and only one connection showing up. f.example my laptop is always connected to AC and is very stable with speeds. i suffer with alot of lag on this pc where i keep switching between N and AC where almost all of the time i am connected to N only
  4. Hi. a little update. it is back to the N connection now, which i found is way more unstable. is there a way to make it permanently stick to AC?
  5. Okay, i'm sorry! it appears its randomly connected to the 5ghz band now, i checked this earlier today and it was stuck at the N connection... i guess my problem is fixed then. thanks
  6. Yes. as i have a laptop connected on the same network which is connected to the AC protocol
  7. Hi. I have the asus pce-AC56 PCIe card. the only problem with it beeing AC (5ghz) is that i only get the N (2.4ghz) connection, which is slowing my speeds. also whenever i download the drivers for the card it will constantly disconnect and reconnect so i can only use it when i plug and play without beeing able to use its utility tool. any help on how i can enable my pc to read it as an AC connection? i can't access my router as i live in a building. my laptop connects to AC so i think it's already enabled in the settings on the router if that helps. motherboard rog-strix z490-F which is AC compatible. have i simply installed the card in the wrong slot somehow?
  8. Hey, i recently purchased a new pc. and im forced to use wifi at my place, with the old pc when i installed the asus pce ac56's drivers and utility tool, it would let me change the channel to make the wifi more stable, if one channel was bugging me i could just change it. but with the new pc, whenever i download its driver from the official asus site, my wifi will DC and reconnect constantly, on and off. how can i fix this? oh and btw the card works fine as long as i DONT download the drivers and utility tool. specs: i5 10600k, 1650 super, rog-strix z490-F bios version 0707 windows 10
  9. Hi, so i've recently bought a new PC. i live in a building where only some of the outlets work for ethernet so i am forced to use wifi, i opted for the asus pce ac56, works pretty well. especially when i was able to change the channels on the network on my old pc via the utility tool. since this new pc i can use the card perfectly fine as long as i DONT download the drivers for it. but i find it to be quite unstable at times, so i wish the drivers and utlity tool would work so i could change the channel on the network like i did before. whenever i try to download the latest drivers it just keeps connecting and disconnecting constantly. any tips? SPECS: i5 10600k Rog-Strix z490-F geforce gtx 1650 super windows 10 sm bios version 0707
  10. Okey, thanks for the helpful advice, unfortunately i dont rly get it, understandable if you cant be arsed explaining all of that and how to change it as i couldnt even figure out how to access the Vccio setting on my motherboard and, i found the timing settings but there are so many different ones i wouldnt know how to change them safely

  12. i am using the Rog Strix Z-490-F motherboard, are you familiar with the bios on this board? i could take a picture of it and upload the screen here tho.
  13. hi. they use the exact ram that i have. it was left by reviewers on the site. everyone had 3000 or higher mhz no problem and they reccomended it. ok nice, i couldnt figure out how to change the voltages tho. because it was greyed out in the bios. and which timings? theres like 20 different things to choose from what i could see. im a total noob in this department tho
  14. hi, i need some help with keeping my HyperX Fury RGB DDR4 2666MHz 16GB stable at 3000 mhz or higher, i dont really know much about overclocking but i've enabled XMP I in my motherboard: Rog Strix z490-f, at first i just enabled the xmp and put the frequency to 3000, ran fine for about 30 minutes before my game crashed. i've put it to 2900 now without any problems yet. but i hear people have been easily able to get it to 3200 mhz, how can i achieve this? i dont know anything about voltages etc. my cpu is the i5-10600k
  15. the thing is that i've selected an upgrade package where it came stock with the i5-10400 and CM Hyper h411R. it comes with a free windows 10 pre installed on the motherboard and a discount aswell, so i feel like im getting a pretty decent deal on the whole thing. i've selected an i5-10600k and the Z490-F tho, and i can't just pick anything. the interface won't let me, what i've got to choose from that i feel are within my budget are: Corsair A500, Cooler master ml240 v2, the ml 120 v2, Noctua NH-U14S and the U9S, the NZXT Kraken m22, ASUS TUF Gaming LC 120. which one would you reckon is best?
  16. My case is the Fractal Design Define s2, my budget would be around 1000-1700 NOK. thats why i thought maybe the CM ML240L V2 would be a good buy because i can get it for 1099 NOK.
  17. Hey, so i've been putting together a pc. looking pretty solid right now. all i seem to miss is a proper cooler, is watercooling even worth it? been thinking about the CL ML240l V2 so far? any tips? thanks
  18. i am indeed looking for the most price efficient items to get. so yeah considering what you said i'll stick with the i5-10600k for now, one other thing. what about cooling? is water cooling necessary?
  19. okey yeah i see, but what about longevity, wouldnt it be worth it to get an i7? only if gaming eventually scales up to 8 cores i suppose. but wouldnt an Z490-F be a good choise also?
  20. ok, i am not that tech savvy really so i had no idea about b or h series boards, and locking the memory frequency, and didnt know about k chip with b series board either. until now. ok so going for an i5 is fine? i dont need an i7 i dont even know the difference between i5 and i7 really lol
  21. Hi, just wondering if its actually worth it getting the z490-f vs the b460-f
  22. Yeah i was wondering to what extent could i upgrade the gpu, before i bottleneck it. I thought 1650 super would probably be max. i forgot to mention i have a 1 tb HDD for storage.
