  1. I wanted to use ddu in safe mode as it is supposed to be used. I found using msconfig an easier way to get into safe mode. Once I got there I was supposed to login to my account but I couldn't because as it turned out I should remember my first damn password I used for this computer when I installed Windows. So I was stuck in safe mode, that was my problem, as you can see in the title. I found the commands on the internet, they worked for others. If you don't know what the hell I'm talking about why the hell did you reply? Never mind, someone from an other forum understood this same post clearly, and helped me. The solution was creating a Rescue media with Macrium Reflect (free version does the job) and boot the pc from that. Select Restore -> Fix Windows boot problems -> follow the wizard, then let it restart your PC. Done. FU Windows!
  2. Hello guys, So my problem is... I booted into safe mode with msconfig to clean install an AMD driver. I noticed I can't use my normal password. I can't remember my first password. I tried to use my microsoft password. I booted into safe mode with network with shift+restart, but I have no connection. I'm using an ethernet cable. Tried to use cmd, still asked for password. I have a bootable usb so I managed to use cmd, but it didn't help. X:\Sources>bcdedit -> The boot configuration data store could not be opened. The requested system device cannot be found. C:\>bcdedit -> The boot configuration data store could not be opened. The requested system device cannot be found. C:\>bcdedit /deletevalue {default} safeboot -> The specified entry identifier is not valid. The parameter is incorrect. C:\>bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot -> The specified entry identifier is not valid. The parameter is incorrect. C:\>bcdedit /deletevalue safeboot -> The boot configuration data store could not be opened. The requested system device cannot be found. Tried to reinstall windows with the upgrade option so I don't lose my files and programs, but it said I have to start windows normally first. I spent hours with this. Please help.
