  1. I would say you can even get away with a 3500 if it's strictly for gaming. There's only 3 - 4% performance difference between 3500 and 3600. In any games (as of now) any of those processors will perform nearly identical. So save some money and spend on the gpu, that will make much more difference. And don't worry about bottlenecks the 3500 can handle a RTX card.
  2. Hey, I want to build a new pc my first rig actually. Stuck deciding between ryzen 5 2600x or 3500(My tight budget doesn't allow for the 3600). I will mostly do gaming on it, for which I think either will be fine. I will also use photoshop, CAD and maybe occasional video editing. The difference what I learned is, 3500 is slightly better in single core but 2600x has Hyper threading. I want to know if HT will cause any significant difference in my creative workflow? Also 3500 is cheaper.
