Yes they are. Have been buying games there for years and never had a single problem. Just be careful when buying so that you'll buy the game for the correct platform (which sort of applies to every similar online store). I mean, you can't make a mistake of buying Origin game on Steam, but you can make that mistake on these stores, especially if you want game key for a specific platform. That's all.

no, eventhough its based on 2nd gen, the cpu must be listed inside the bios code.
check the cpu support list for that mobo, it needs latest bios.

It's only a problem if he puts it under liquid nitrogen, again it says extreme overclocking. If anyone is taking a CPU that far, they're not going to forget what PSU they're using, they're going to get a new one with much tighter power delivery.

There's no issue created by this combination. Besides, what about higher end CPUs in motherboards that don't even have that extra 4 pin?

may i know what country you are from? it looks decent but we may be able to optimise it slightly. one thing for sure to change is that PSU.

just try bending the pins back? worst case scenario you damage an already damaged board, best case scenario you fix your RAM slot.

But in all seriousness, like other said, the displayport cable you have will work just fine, if not, any recent HDMI cable will do ... hell, even a Dual-Link DVI-D cable will push 144Hz @ 1080p.

OP, I suggest you look into things like this before going on a rant, knowing what you buy, and what is or isn't included should be part of the pre-purchase research ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Look in the back of your monitor and see exactly what connectors you have.

The page you linked to says the monitor has 2 HDMI and 1 DisplayPort

Your  video card should have at least one HDMI connector so IF your monitor has HDMI, maybe it would be better to buy a HDMI cable.
HDMI cables should be more common and easier to find even in local stores, as they're used with TVs, with blurays and all kinds of things.

Video cards don't come with video cables, and even monitors often come without cables.

As above, cables come with monitors not GPU's.  I am certain you didn't get a cable with your 2012 GPU, so why expect one with this GPU?

TL;DR: your RAM is running at the correct speed.

RAM actually runs at 1600Mhz, that many ticks a second (in millions).
It's just every 'tick' it transfers two packages (that is why DDR = double data rate), so manufacturers of RAM/motherboards just call it 3200Mhz. It's actually 3200MT/s. transfers a second (times 1 million).

poops reacted to TheGlenlivet in RAM not running advertised speed
That is 3200MHZ.  DDR shows half speed in CPUZ.

poops reacted to WhenU_pLace in What CPU for higher resolution, ultra graphics settings?
One thing to consider (at that specs it wouldn't matter much but i see those settings in-game): if u are going to do that u must not use texture correction, like msaa, because your cpu will have to handle even more pixels than the display ones. Also, u should buy a cpu corresponding to its gpu: it shouldn't be mucchhhh better but it shouldn't be worse because it will bottleneck.
Litteraly, if u buy a expensive gpu u must buy a expensive cpu, to get the most out of it.

poops reacted to TechyBen in EU plans 'right to repair' rules for phones and tablets
Again with the hyperbole. While the end result might be "100% perfect tech and 100% recyclable/repairable" we are not there yet, and no one is pushing for that. Currently, it's "don't take us to court/beat up our kneecaps if *we* replace a fuse in the device *we* purchased". The other things are a strawman.

    [edit]
PS, how is requiring a replaceable phone battery even "right to repair"? It's recycling/materials/economic rules/laws non relevant to consumers requests to "repair". It's basically a economic measure to lower the cost of materials/battery import/production and the subsequent waste/pollution from e-waste. Very very little to do with consumer protection (see lead acid/car oil pollution and Australia or any other country for example. I don't have the link to hand as I think I lost it, but Australia had a real problem of people dumping cars and thus those liquids all over the bush, as cheaper than driving it to a car scrap yard... so regulation is often needed to stop people harming themselves/others  ).

poops reacted to mr moose in EU plans 'right to repair' rules for phones and tablets
If the manufacturer makes it so you need those in order to repair your device then that is a fair enough request.  There is absolutely no need to hide or hinder the repair process unnecessarily.    In many cases (like with apple) it is just an outright con or fraud attempt.   I say that as being someone with first hand experience of it at apple.

poops got a reaction from TechyBen in EU plans 'right to repair' rules for phones and tablets
The right to repair doesn't mean that the manufacturer still has to provide warranty, in fact the warranty could still say something like "opening the phone invalidates your warranty with us". The right to repair simply means that they should be easier to do so, rather than having to junk devices because they are so difficult to repair that it's not worth it. Well that was my take on it anyway.

Right to repair should apply to most things. Not all, but most. Like, changing oil in your car is your right. Rebuilding the engine is also your right. But there comes a point when, with something like that, you become responsible for what happens after. It's a very fine line, finer than Linus. We need to find that line first and make it bold enough for all to see. But regardless, this is step in the right direction and I'm happy to see it.

poops reacted to Lurick in Passmark - AMD "Decimated" In New Update
It would seem that someone is up to some shenanigans with PassMark this time following not too far behind UserBenchmark's recent screwings around with weighting. This time however PassMark has claimed to be "transparent" in their implementation however this seems to be rather suspect as the highest ranked AMD CPU on the new v10 list is 35th on the list and it's an iGPU variant, the 4300U, which hasn't even been tested on the v10 benchmark, but somehow beats out. There is talk that they have introduced an AVX-512 portion or subset to the benchmark which AMD doesn't even have instructions for and will almost certainly give favor to Intel CPUs.

    Thoughts:
I would seriously love to see how Passmark claims this to be fair and how their CPU benchmark can put the 4300U a 2.7GHz base and 3.7GHz boost CPU ABOVE other Ryzen 3000 series CPUs which have much higher base and boost clocks from the start. It would seem that this is just another PR stunt to try and help Intel (for some reason or another) that will come out as an "accident" once enough people start digging into it.

You literally can't do that if USB Debugging is disabled. And only way to turn it on is to boot into a locked OS and enable it. So, how are you going to just "flash" a new bootloader again?
