Thanks, its a sabrent eclosure from amazon, and I put a 2 tb firecuda in it (also amazon) so I'm fairly sure that componant wise it is ok. formatted the drive to full capacity and it's reporting 1.8 TB in explorer at all times, just seems to not be refreshing whatever it is that it uses to keep tabs on free space

HI, I have an issue where my extrnal nvme drive is reporting that it's full even though it's not. it constantly runs out of space, and shows as full in explorer, but when I restart the drive is refreshed and displays usage correctly. can anyone help?

HI, I'm looking for a ryzen based laptop for my partner - use case is very small buisness so just office apps, accounting software web browsing and zoom calls etc. The budget is between 500 and 650 /700 max. this is in GBP but I'm assming there's probably 1 to 1 equivalency in USD pricing. I'm having issues identifying anything with reasonable spec and a memory upgrade path. I think 8 GB memory is going to get old pretty fast and so the main thing I'm looking for is something with an upgrade path for the ram to at least 16 GB priorities in descending order for me would be: upgradable memory non-terrible screen non-terrible build quality battery life cpu cores / threads 2020 models are definately an option, ( perhaps even necessity based on availability) I've been looking at some lenovo 'think(something or other)' and asus vivobook / zenbook options and also a previous years model TUF gaming, but would be interested to hear any recomendations or direct experience with upgradable laptops around this price point. I've looked through you tube etc, but most reviews are for flagship specs for each product stack, so not that applicable Many thanks

Thanks restarting client by killing it in task manager helped. tedious to loose over a days productivity, but at least CPUs where doing something

Hi, haven't run this on a computer since around 2002, when things where a little different hardware wise... Would anyone be able to answer a couple of questions? 1) when i run fah it seems to choose either gpu or cpu, never both at the same time... - is this wu related? i.e. are some workloads simply not worth running on the CPU and vices versa? 2) how can I manually swith between GPU and CPU usage? (yesterday I was doing other CPU heavy work so GPU made sense to fold on, today I'm doing stuff in unreal so CPU will be better for me to fold on during work hours. 3) if the GPU / CPU choice is down to workload then what is the covid-19 workload cpu / gpu or agnostic?
