    Just my 2 cents:

Electrical Engineering is vastly different from your interest in "Computer tinkering". Not a single course you take under EE will have anything related to that effect. You are better off with Microsoft or CompTIA certification.
But if you are really interested in computer architecture, Microprocessor architecture (Not design.. it is under Semiconductor design which belongs to EE), should go for Computer engineering, Not EE.

I have BS in Electrical Engineering majoring in Power Electronics and Minoring in Engineering Mathematics. I also did my MS in EE majoring in 2D electronics (MoSE2), Semiconductor architecture design and nano electronics.

I have a mixed bag of a career, I worked in IT HelpDesk in my early years, later in System Administration, and now as VoIP engineer (Unified Communication)
What I am trying to say is, you never know where you are going to end up with your career no matter what you study. Also the 1st year of college will be a life changing experience for you, you will find yourself lost if you are not extremely dedicated in studying especially in engineering.

My cousin tried to follow my lead and took EE at the same college in U.S. He was about to pull his hear out just after his first semester. He immediately changed his major to IT.

Do tons of research before you choose a major. Study the prerequisite's. You will never catch up if you don't know this stuff before hand. Go to the university and speak with the students. Learn about the programs and find out if that university is really reputable for that specific program. Learn about professors there and how do they grade... it is very important and it helped me lot.

Hold on to your 290x CF, you would not gain anything much getting a single 980ti and AMD is still optimizing drivers for 290x has proven in 15.7 drivers,
And since the 390x has the same core as 290x whatever optimization done to 390x, it will carry it to 290x as well.

Be weary of the warehouse deals. Some manufacturers are not honoring their product warranty if it is bought form amazon warehouse deals. Look what RHA sent me for my RHA 750i warranty

    Hi Manzir,
Thanks for your email. Unfortunately Warehouse deals is not an authorised retailer of RHA, and our warranty is only valid for items purchased from authorised retailers. We operate an extended three year warranty that begins on the date of purchase of brand new, unused products by the first end user, from an authorised retailer. Please see our website for full Terms and Conditions, as well as a list of authorised retailers. I'm very sorry I'm unable to be of more assistance on this occasion.

The ad900x has the typical issue of being too light pressured that it will jsut slip off your head. Hate it or love it
I would recommend some beyerdynamic dt770 80ohm or pro for an all rounder use.
Alessandro ms2i or Grado sr125i for crazy2 clarity, hd650 for sleeping and relaxing,

Personally if i had 450, i would get a beyerdynamic 770 or 990(if you like more bass) and add a modmic and upgrade my sound card. The step up in sound quality from a 200usd range headphone to a 400usd range isnt much at all. The hd650 with modded cables (i prefer the old Symphonica* cables) would really good. but agian, its too expansive and not really woth the money if you are just getting started.

Just for information. i think the best sounding headphone at that price range is the Hifiman HE400. ,maybe bit overbudget since import costs will hurt.

For those m50 lovers out there, give this a try:

Maybe the problem is the number of users. After a certain point it can become negative marginal gains for the community.
-More users increase the chance of frivolous arguments
-More users means more people posting new threads which buries others
-More users likely leads to a proportional decrease in knowledgeable to unknowledgeable users, which divides the attention of the knowledgeable users.
-The above leads to disinterest of those with experience and knowledge, affecting those that can generally use the help.

It will definitely have a better soundstage than the m50x, as it is an open headphone.
Therefore it´s great for positional audio (shooters etc.) or just for the feeling of more immersion in the game.

From the sound quality other than the soundstage: the usual bass drawback of open headphones compared to closed ones etc. - haven´t tried both of them, therefore no further comparison.

I have a pair of closed headphones and a pair of open ones at home - open for quiet rooms as open headphones are just more pleasant for me, and the closed ones for bus, plane and so on.

For $120, get the ADG1. If it turns out you don't like it, sell it as open box, and you might get ice cream money, if lucky. It can't be sold too high tho (if you're looking for a bit of profit), as the ADG1 doesn't sell very well. It's overhyped and overpriced at its normal price. Basically the same as AD900x + mic.

Yes, that's the only difference. I would warn you though. The key caps on K70 wobbles/moves a lot while typing and gaming. That is because the key caps are designed to stand-up tall from the frame...  which in turn makes it easier to clean the K70. I also had 4 mushy cherry keys. Left Shift was very mushy which is pretty annoying in FPS games

The experience on YouTube is still far superior than services like Vessel. All I want is a list of new videos from the people that I subscribe to, not some fancy layout with different sized videos from people that I'm not interested in. The only reason Vessel is making sense right now is the exclusives they have.

then I bought the Logitech G710 (Non Plus - chery mx blue) for home use and ducky legend for work with cherry mx blue; which I like the most

If you have a bank of America card just go into your account and activate the 10% back cash deal they have. Then they just give you cash back after you make your purchase. It takes a while to go through though.

Go to your nearby computer store, buy the best mechanical keyboard they might have (like das 4 or ducky etc...) Use it for a month.... If you still think its not worth the price; return it.

Damn Son!! You got some serious crisis on your hand!! JK

I did my own research for 2 months and I went with the K70 non RGB.

On your case I would suggest to go with razer (although it uses Kailh switches) at least try it out for a week or so, if you don't like you can always return it and get the k70.
Since this will be your first mechanical keyboard you would hardly find any difference between cherry MX and kailh. And I believe razer have slightly modified the kailh switches for their keyboards.
In normal scenario; I wouldn't recommend razer in a head to head comparison (like K70 RGB vs Razer Black Widow) but your case is very unique and I believe razer will suite you the best.

I have the K95 and I'd say I've had better typing experience when I am trying the Das Professional 4. The somewhat raised keys of the K95 as kindly as I can put it... distracting for intense typing. The wrist rest is relatively low as well do it doesn't help with that too. If the keys are at the same level as the G keys I would be very happy. For gaming it's another matter, the raised keys feel just right when just resting in a fixed position just pressing a few keys.

So it really depends on what you are after, if you want something for the office I wouldn't recommend the K70, I'm bringing my K95 home one of these days when I can find the 200 bucks I need to replace it with the Das Pro 4.

As for LED, backlight is more than enough for me personally and I would rather spend the extra money with RGB on build quality. From what I see however is that the RGB versions of the K70 and K95 comes with better program that makes the entire keyboard programmable, that's actually one of the most convincing selling points of the RGB versions for me, but I can't fathom why they don't use it for all their K70 and K95 line ups because I really
