Just return the stupid thing then, besides asus has kinda dipped in quality nowadays so this isnt exactly surprising

As for a replacement id reccomend a 2dimm board like the b650e tachyon if you are the type of guy to toy arorund with ram oc, otherwise just buy whatever board that fits your needs and has all the i/o you need, top of the line boards are kinda useless till we start talking about oc boards like the tachyon or those evga kingpin boards

    Try bios update
If that doesnt work just rma the board, might aswell get a 2dimm board like the tachyon if you ram overclock

wow tough one...the best ive come up with is maybe a early 2000's run? and thats only because of the "rectangle tweeters" and reviews during that time period. they switched to square and round in the later years look like

oh and just pull one of the woofers. it "should" have watt/ohm rating on magnet

Got me stumped.  I can't find anything that looks like that in image searches, ebay (picclick), and the like.  I would concur that it appears like a center channel speaker for a surround system, but I can't seem to find older models that match (can't find many older models at all).  Their new stuff features just a 2 speaker unit so one would think this quad would stand out...alas.  Only other, albeit useless, detail is that it's definitely their Black Oak finish.  Did you happen to check the bottom side for any labeling/engraving?

Dub7030 reacted to mariushm in Are SATA SSD's DRAM-less?
The DRAM memory is not used to cache writes, it's used to keep a copy of the list of files and where each file is stored in the flash memory chips. Without DRAM the controller inside the drive has to use a hidden portion of flash memory to store information about where each file is stored in the memory chips, and writing to flash memory is a bit slower than writing to a dram chip.
With a DRAM chip, the updates to that information are made on the DRAM and periodically these changes are dumped to hidden flash memory for permanent storage (so that at next startup, this data can be loaded into the dram chip, as dram chip loses information without power)
So when you write a lot of stuff and especially when you write multiple things in parallel, a ssd with dram chip will perform a bit better because the controller doesn't have to pause to update the file information table.

But the actual write performance when writing sequentially (ex copying a large 10+ GB file) will actually depend on how big of a pseudo-SLC write cache the SSD uses.
All SSDs these days take a bunch of unused flash memory and convert it to a special mode that's much faster to write into, and that allows the SSD to write super fast into this temporary area the file. Later, the ssd controller takes the data and does it to a more permanent location.
So for example, if you have a QLC drive with 100 GB of free space on the drive, the controller could "burrow" 80 GB and convert it to 20 GB of pseudo-SLC write cache memory. When you copy a large 10 GB file, it's written into this 20 GB area at high speeds, like 450 MB or more for a SATA drive, and maybe a minute or so after the file is written there, the ssd controller in the background will slowly copy parts of that 10 GB file into the remaining 20 GB of free disk space that's still in QLC mode.
If you happen to copy a file bigger than 20 GB or however much the pseudo-SLC cache is, as soon as you go over the cache amount, the write speeds will drop to the actual QLC write speeds, which can be in the 40-150 MB/s.

Some SSD drives can have as little as 5-10 GB of such write cache, other drives can convert pretty much ALL the free disk space in such mode and gradually convert portions back to TLC or QLC as you fill the drive with data (for example a 2 TB empty QLC drive would have nearly 500 GB of pseudo-slc write cache, so you wouldn't notice speed degradation. As you copy a 10 GB file to such drive, the drive takes 5-10 of pseudo-slc write cache and reverts it back to 20-40 GB of QLC memory and slowly moves that 10 GB file into this area of QLC memory and now you have 490-495 GB of pseudo-SLC cache and 20-40 GB of QLC memory .. and so on.

You'll notice it when moving lots of files or large files, the data transfer speed will tank after a bit and may sometimes just feel snappier.

    DRAM Cache: NO
So yours do not have DRAM. Higher end models (like Samsung EVO) do have DRAM.

Some do, some don't. The Crucial MX500 does, for instance, while the Crucial BX500 does not.

Not sure about that drive, I'd have to look it up, though most of the TeamGroup SSDs I'm aware of are DRAM-less so it wouldn't surprise me if that one was DRAM-less as well.

Ive have also posted this on the Microsoft community forums. I have found many forums and discussions all over the internet and not a single person has been able to find a solution to this issue. Im not using some random dongle either, its the latest 5.0 bluetooth dongle by Asus. My bad on the post earlier, I thought it was 5.2, I should've checked before I said anything.

Yeah, I finally found the "handfree" tip in some forum online, but it wasn't the easiest issue to find info about online, which I found weird. Seemed like we were the only ones having the issue.

I don't know if other (newer?) bluetooth protocols handle it better, or if it's all BT in general. She was using a cheap amazon usb BT adapter, and the Microsoft Wireless Xbox Headset (In BT mode) on her PC for what it's worth.

My understanding is that when you're using Bluetooth it doesn't have the bandwidth for  chat and game audio.

So if you pick the "hands free" option in your list above, that will allow it but then I think you're in like mono sound if i recall. But you will be able to hear both apps/programs.

But my wife ran into the same issue where trying to use sound from 2 different programs.  It wouldn't work over Bluetooth unless you picked that hands free option.

Edit: and this isnt a Microsoft issue. She had the issue with game sound + discord as well.

Dub7030 reacted to Proud Cipher in Will any DDR5 work on AM5
According to a quick google search, the AM5 platform will only accept DDR5. Beyond that, there are no specific requirements regarding RAM. Ryzen chips tend to rely on fast memory so I'd just focus on finding the fastest ram with the tightest timings as will fit within your budget.

There is no such thing as "certain AMD memory" (not even the AMD-branded sticks that existed for a while).

My EVGA FTW board has been pretty reliable, and the Classified board from them is also supposedly stellar. That being said, I personally wouldn't spend that much on an X99 board, since if you're spending more than like $150-200 you're probably better off selling your CPU and buying an r7 2700 and a B450 board.

I think the plastic pack is 16x, resolution on Bedrock is how many pixels on the X and Y axis are on one block. Thats what I think it is, anyway

Well I have figured out that the CPU is not damaged, but matter of fact it was due HWMonitor going haywire when I set a manual shutoff temp in the bios. Plus at the time of the original post, my OC was actually 4.2GHZ at 1.25V. I changed it a while back to keep temps low. Thank you Zando Bob and SpiderMan for the advice, I thought they both were the same software. APPARENTLY I WAS WRONG! Thank you everybody for the responses.
