  1. Yeah someone else on Reddit also thought about this but me and my ISP changed the cables maybe 4 times to check. Thanks for your suggestion though. What would cause electromagnetic interference otherwise, may want to look into that.
  2. Hello all, I have been back and forwards with my internet provider the past two months trying to figure this out. For some reason when I am playing games I get a major spike in ping and it shows up as a disconnection. I pay for a 45 down 25 up internet connection and it is provided by American Wide Broadband. I only started to get these problems around January 20th and have been trying to figure it out since. We have gone through multiple stages, thinking it was originally ping going all over the place, it was not, we thought it was my router bottle-necking or was broken, we tried two different modems and even plugged right into the modem, nothing, and now we have my desktop completely hardwired into the wall to the system to bypass the modem completely. I am still experiencing issues. I have updated all my drivers and updated to the latest windows updates. I have tried multiple games to try and see if this issue was game-wide, it was not just one game. I don't experience too many issues through wireless, but then again it's just surfing the web and streaming videos/movies. I need the next step. I literally contacted every company I can that would be the root of the issue and nothing makes sense after more tests. I contacted Netgear for the Nighthawk that was the initial thought, then the TP-Link router we tested also gave the same issue, then with the modem we switched it twice and still no fix. Now with it directly into the wall I can't figure it out. Also to mention they are telling me that I am the only one in my building experiencing this issue, which now I am certainly convinced. Please Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.
