Bruh1 got a reaction from Hold-Ma-Beer in insanely high temps with hardware info.
Um , I was running a casual stress test to test a cpu cooler i installed like 3 weeks ago but didnt use my pc since.
The overall package of the cpu is running at 65c on full load, which is very reasonable,
But hardware monitor is reporting this temperature..... https://gyazo.com/b6051961f2ab187ec9cbf8c81125edc5
    Is this even possible?
My cpu cooler is Noctua nh-u12s
    Cpu : Ryzen 5 3600.
Maybe i put way too little Thermal paste while installing the cpu?

He is not running a threadripper 3990x, 550w is perfectly more than enough for the rtx 3070 and even 3080.

    B450's PCI-E 2.0 support??? What?
It has PCIE 3.0 the last time i checked, so no bottleneck here.
No it won't be. These guys just don't know what they are talking about.

But as always, wait for the release, maybe the 3070 needs PCIE 4.0 for some new and fancy  feature? (most probably pcie 3.0 16x will still work fine tho)

Anything up to 88C is safe for Turing GPUs, so you're fine.
Those Zotac 1650 Supers look like they've got some really puny heatsinks on them, so 80C isn't totally surprising, especially if your ambient temps are high and/or you don't have a lot of airflow inside your case.

it is within spec, but im not sure if it's normal for 1650 to run at those high temps
as for damage, no it wont

    Anything under 90C is fine.
Especially in the summer months, a videocard will run warmer. 80C is no issue.

I think you're talking about the power cable that actually plugs into the wall. The only difference in these is gauge (i.e. how thick it is). Too small of a gauge can short if you're pushing too much power through it, but for the most part all of these are the same and interchangeable.

Wow, I have the max internet speed speed plan from my ISP in the United States and I only get 200 MBPS down and 10 MBPS up. The download is really fine for my needs (even though in reality I get around 60 MBPS and their support technicians have made multiple trips and can't seem to get the speeds through), although I am quite disappointed by the upload speeds since I would like to have the ability to backup data to cloud services as an option. Until I can get Google Fiber in my area, unfortunately I am going to have to keep using my current ISP .

If you want to take some of the load off of your current router and maybe get some better speeds for wireless devices, you may want to use a switch handle connections from other ethernet devices:   https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B00YMTNVEM/ref=twister_B07ZZL4JZW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I would recommend this PCIe WI-FI and Bluetooth wireless adapter that supports WI-FI 6 if you do decide to upgrade in the future:    https://www.amazon.fr/Ziyituod-Adaptateur-AX2974Mbps-802-11ax-Bluetooth5-0/dp/B07YZ7J8QD/ref=sr_1_39_sspa?__mk_fr_FR=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dchild=1&keywords=PCIe+wifi+card&qid=1593360126&s=computers&sr=1-39-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyTDJaRjBCWDY2TVRCJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDA2OTEzSTVFVzc3ODVSR05YJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA4MzY4NTQyWlhJVlJaOVpITEQ3JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfbXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

If your ISP device can provide 1Gbps speeds and has wireless, it should be WiFi 5 compatible... hopefully!

The AX200 chipset that @Boomwebsearch recommended will handle WiFi 5 networks fine. Keep in mind, though, that it has a theoretical maximum of 300Mbps on 2.4GHz (at 40MHz bandwidth) and 1733Mbps on 5GHz (at 160MHz bandwidth) if supported by your wireless access point. Obstructions and interference will always result in reduced speed in real-world experience.

Finally, a PCIe wireless adapter tends to perform better and last longer than a USB wireless adapter.

I recommend upgrading your house to WIFI 6 hands down! If it's in your budget you'll be surprised at how well it works!
I play CSGO and honestly the ping is so stable, no rubber banding or anything.

I too upgraded to 1Gbps and wanted full speed from the office (which I do get  - well very very close to it)
I bought this 2 pack set - Asus AX6100 Triband https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/AiMesh-AX6100-WiFi-System-RT-AX92U-2-Pack/ for $399 as I needed to connect the office (multiple PC's) to the lounge (where the fiber connects) via WIFI 6 backhaul and the triband is definitely required for this approach. I tried with 2 x Asus AX3000's dual band but the office node kept going offline.

Yea I was considering it but I bought this rig when Corona stuff was at its peak and everything was closed China was closed and stuff. so I thought used/mining cards are probably impossible to get. and a 1650s is honestly decent and really good value , for 170$ I got a 1080p 60fps ultra settings card. that's a good deal for me now until next gen and I have high hopes for RDNA 2 from AMD , looks to be really promising from the latest leaks and statements from AMD.

My Ryzen + Nvidia combo is working just fine.
Of course my CPU being a bit older (Ryzen 1000 series) doesn't help with single-core performance, but most games play just fine.

Saying "Nvidia works better with Intel!" as a blanket statement is untrue, as you would have to consider what specific CPU/GPU combo it is.
Ryzen 5 3600 + GTX 1650S would work just fine, just like R3 3300X + 1660S would work too.. etc. etc.

EDIT: A jailbreak has been released for OS 5.6.0 and below!
You can find the topic about it here:

    Original post:
I know I'm new to this forum, but I have been an active member of the calculator community for over 4 years. I'm trying to spread the word about this as much as I can, hopefully achieving a segment on TechLinked, and to give TI enough negative backlash to consider negotiating better terms with the community. I'll keep this article as an overview, but I'll link my in-depth sources at the end.
If you want to get up to speed quickly, I made a video that summarizes the vast majority of all the information I've gathered across dozens of sources! There's a lot of information that wasn't covered in this thread so check it out if you want to know everything!

    What exactly happened?
Just a few days ago, TI Education announced that the most recent OS for theTI-84 Plus CE (-T) and TI-83 Premium CE removes the ability for the calculator to run any Assembly (ASM) code. With the decision planned to go global, this means that any program written in ASM or C will not run on any CE operating on the newest TI OS 5.5.1 or higher!

    Why did this happen?
One big factor in the decision to ban ASM was due to a video created by a student and a teacher that showed the exact steps to bypass a Test Mode restriction in OS 5.2.2, an obsolete, 3 year old OS. What made the matter worse is they passed the issue off as if it were still present in modern OSes! With the video gaining almost a quarter of a million views, TI thought they'd need to take some drastic measures to uphold their Exam Mode security reputation.

    Why is this so frustrating?
This is quite a punch in the gut for the community, TI had given TI-Planet (a very reputable TI forum that has been reporting on calculator news for over a decade) a beta build of OS 5.5.0 to review and post about. This build given to TI-Planet had all the benifits of the new Python abilities, however ASM was not banned on this build. To the community, it looks like TI knew we would hate the removal of ASM and therefor gave a different build to us just to drum up support. Then when release date came, they pulled the rug from under our feet and released OS 5.5.1 instead which did include the ASM restrictions

TI-Planet, has privately shared security flaws related to Exam Mode TI needed to fix, and kept vulnerabilities a secret as to not cause this exact situation. TI Planet has put so much meticulous care into protecting the hobby of thousands of students and future Computer Science Majors, like me, it's infuriating to see one clumsy video with a quarter of a million views set years of hard work go up in smoke.

TI Planet's time trying to protect the community isn't the only thing wasted, the hundreds developer's countless hours spent creating amazing content from overclocking utilities, to math additions like CAS, and games will become obsolete when newer calculators inevitably outnumber older ones. TI does offer alternative programming options like TI-BASIC and Python, but as TI Planet user jean-baptiste boric points out on Cemetech:
    Source: Cemetech: English

It's also infuriating that TI's consistent reactions of killing a fly with a sledge hammer has done nothing to solve their security, in fact it has only worsened it. I think forum Planet Casio explains it better than I can:
Note: I have paraphrased the French to English translation in order to make it sound as coherent as possible.
(Source: Planète Casio: Français | English)

Now that ASM is banned and this situation can't get much worse, the community is already finding exploits that allows not only the ability to run ASM code anyways, but ways to bypass TI's insecure Exam Mode (which was only ever 'secure' because the community was careful not to release the exploits to the public). The community is already brainstorming alternatives that will both satisfy TI and the dedicated programming community. We're doing our best to come to terms with TI and avoid creating another cat-and-mouse game of finding and patching exploits (which happened on the Nspire).

    Conclusion:
Like I said at the beginning, my goal is to spread the word about this as much as I can. Although this is only effecting the CE line up of calculators right now, TI has not ruled out releasing updates to older models that also bans ASM.
