Will a mobile hotspot suffice for my gaming pc?
Cpt. Price replied to Cpt. Price's topic in Networking
I just talked to some friends, and apparently a windows update sucks a lot of it up too :/. I guess unlimited would be the only way to prevent that from being a problem but I can't afford unlimited. -
Will a mobile hotspot suffice for my gaming pc?
Cpt. Price replied to Cpt. Price's topic in Networking
(Forgot to mention games only on the weekend) We'll have some downtime during the weekends. My father teaches there so he's told me everything about their itinerary. Of course I won't be playing games during the week, which I wasn't planning to do anyway since I will need to maintain focus on school. I feel like 10gb won't be enough and it would be better to have 50gb and not need it than only 10gb and not need it. -
Hello, I'm going to be leaving for a military academy in about a month. The academy is very oldschool and has no wifi in the baracks. I plan to bring my gaming desktop for school and games on the weekends (also for Cyberpunk 2077 when it releases because I didn't pre-order that for nothing). For internet, I need a hotspot. I don't know much about hotspots, but I want one that is reliable and is fast. Would a 50gb hotspot on my phone be enough for games and regular work during the week? Any recommendations will help.

Recently these weird green dots have appeared. I found someone who had the exact same problem and posted a picture so I'm just using that picture. They don't appear rarely, like if I haven't used my computer for about a day or so, and I've noticed they go way completely when I lower the refresh rate to 100hz from 144hz. I don't like this solution because I'd much rather 144hz for gaming and not have to use 100hz. Some people say it can be the dvi cable, others say the monitor, and some people say that the graphics card could be dying. The picture I included just shows more dots since the problem was worse for that user, I don't have that many dots that appear.

Isn't the 12nm newer. I just bought it for a friend on Amazon for only $85. Performance is a steal for the money I've heard.

The picture I attached show few of many pixels that appear. My monitor has a 3 year warranty so I made a report to Benq and should hear back from them soon about replacements. The weird thing is, is that not all the time do the pixels appear. When I set my monitor down to 100hz when they are present, they go away. When I raise it back up sometimes to 144hz, they appear or sometimes don't appear. And I've crossed out it being a stuck pixels or dead pixel because it only appears on darker areas of the screen and sometimes on web pages and when I scroll, they follow the image and the actual physical pixel couldn't move across the screen.

I just bought a Benq Zowie XL241P 144hz monitor and today, like 16 of these tiny blue flickering pixels appeared. I've looked it up and I've seen stuff about dead pixels and stuck pixels. I really need help, don't want to have to buy a new monitor.

GTX 1070 SC IO Shield Screw Holes Not Lining Up To Case Holes

I've tried everything but to no avail. It really isn't a problem, it's just something I wanted to try and fix. -
GTX 1070 SC IO Shield Screw Holes Not Lining Up To Case Holes
Cpt. Price replied to Cpt. Price's topic in Graphics Cards
The IO shield fits, it's just the holes on the IO shield of the card, and the holes on the support bracket on the case that aren't lining up. Right now, I have it resting on one of the brackets but I'd like to have it secured, I'm just one of those people who gets bothered by that stuff until it's fixed. -
