  1. Hi there, I'm not sure if this would be the most appropriate subforum to post to regarding this, but I figured I might as well ask possibly easy question. To give a tl;dr, I'm really wanting to switch to any email client that isn't Gmail, but found myself stuck using it on mobile/web for the sole reason that it can filter just 95% of promotional ad emails into it's own tab never to notify me. I specifically love this because the Gmail app will only give me notifications for the emails that I actually care about. When I switched to several mail apps/clients in the past (Apple Mail, Outlook, etc), I found myself extremely annoyed that it notifies me about every non-important email with no filtering. Given what I said, is there any service or client options to enable any sort of filtering like the Gmail app does? Because, this is literally the only dealbreaker that's stopping me from using other email clients.
  2. I completely understand that the PS5 doesn't support 1440p right out the box and it'll come later down the line, and I also understand that the PS5 needs an HDMI 2.1 cable in order to achieve the advertised 120 FPS in select titles, but what's the story with slightly older or current gaming monitors that use DisplayPort? As far as I know, almost all high-end gaming monitors rely on DisplayPort to achieve its refresh rate on PC's, but will most likely have a standard HDMI port as an alternative. Hypothetically speaking, will a DisplayPort to HDMI 2.1 (if that exists) cable resolve this? My uneducated assumption would be that it only convert the video, but will not benefit at all with the bandwidth to achieve this. I'd like to hear any input if you'd believe this could be possible or other workarounds? I'm going hard on the assumption that there is some sort of way to do this, since the majority of accessible displays with outputs above 120hz would typically be a gaming monitor. I feel like it would be extremely odd if Sony or Microsoft completely alienates gaming monitors from working and only focusing on the high-end 4K UHD 120hz TV's that have been recently emerging.
  3. The mouse mute/deafen functions for Discord are a god-send. I hope that they fix it soon, it's so handy to have, pun intended.
  4. There's a plethora of services that can teach you the basics of programming, some free, some not. I would recommend Code Academy as a free service to grasp general concepts of how programming works. However, if you're trying to make money to buy a PC doing this, you're going to soon realize it's going to take a ton of work of studying to actually grasp languages enough to actually make money doing freelance work. With this in mind, you should also note that entry-level freelance programming is probably going to be a competitive place going up against people who have portfolios of coding projects, git repositories, etc. All of this is time consuming work, which if you're willing to put up with, is beneficial, but if all you're trying to achieve is buying a gaming PC by quickly learning a programming language, then you're going to have a rough time doing so.
