Hi guys.
So i currently have a wireless bluetooth speaker "puck" very similar to this one: (though mine was a gift from my bank or something)
https://www.amazon.com/-/de/SB510-Resistant-Bluetooth-Handsfree-Speakerphone/dp/B00ILM977Q/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=shower+speaker&qid=1588239939&sr=8-3
It sounds surprisingly acceptable, but what's drinving me insane is, that
1. There is no way to tell the battery left in it, so it regularely turns off while i'm in the middle of my shower, or i just started, which is even more frustrating. Also the charging process is a bit dodgy, as the red charging light often only shines with half its brightness or not at all until you wiggle the usb plug of the charging cable.
2. Although the bathroom is right next to my room, the bluetooth connection is pretty bad and very often cuts out in the middle of playback. Even as soon as i reach the door of my room i get stuttering and cut outs. I am using the external Wifi+BT antenna that came with my Motherboard, but i never had any of those problems or such low range with other bluetooth speakers/headphones.
So I am looking for a decent bluetooth speaker, that i can permanently install in/around the shower, so water resistance would be nice.
Wired power is preferred, but if i can easily tell teh charging level of the speaker and it has usb-c, i can settle for that. I do not like the usual JBL, Bose, UE, etc bluetooth speakers, as there is no easy way to mount them to the glass walls of the shower or to the ceiling/wall.
Searching for "Shower Speaker" yields results that are basically what i already have in different casings and colors, so i thought some of you might have a better idea or also has had a similar problem.
Maximum budget is 100€. I am not looking for a high end solution, just a way to listen to my spotify, while showering, and without the annoyance of not knowing if the speaker will pull through to the end of my session :D.
Thank you very much for reading that novel about shower speakers and thank you for your ideas/solution
Simon
