  1. Update I opened dirt rally 2 and drove around and temps didnt go over 85 while getting like 300 fps. Maybe the ryzen stock cooler is just not great at cooling the idle temps and it is the AIO that's broken?
  2. I have the Corsair h510i capellix and it started flashing red and then my PC shut off. I rebooted and bios said 96 c CPU temps. I figured maybe it was toast and swapped in my old Ryzen stock cooler from my 3600. My PC now is not shutting off but it's saying 76 c temps at idle with only Chrome open so I can post this. Everything has been fine since I built it and it's never overheated so I know the issue isn't thermal paste or forgetting the plastic backing. Also I've never overclocked or messed with my CPU settings at all. Ryzen 7 5800x3D RTX 4070 2x16 Corsair Vengeance RGB ROG STRIX B550-F
  3. Beautifully simple, thank you. I know nothing about storage devices so they scare me a little
  4. I have 2 SSDs, one is 500gb with windows and some other stuff on it and my second is a 1TB with nothing on it as of yet. It's not showing up in file explorer or as an option to download to but I see it in disk management (picture attached.) How do I go about making it useable?
  5. I've been using these two drives for a couple years like this, something my dad set up when i bought the pc. It appears that my boot drive is drive C: and my other drive is also drive C: but like added to it. Will assigning my non-boot drive a different letter make it its own lettered drive?
  6. Yep, here you go. I currently have 2 SSDs and one usb stick in the PC. The usb is the D drive.
  7. Basically my SSD is pathed inside my other SSD if that makes any sense. I know almost nothing about storage but i want to wipe my pc and have my two SSDs separate instead of one in the other like it currently is. How should I go about doing this? I put in a picture that hopefully shows what I mean
  8. You can find 1660 supers for less than $300 on newegg. I use one currently and it has never given me an issue over 3 years. It can run most everything max graphics 60fps with exception of some new games like warzone, flight sim etc but it still runs them just fine
  9. Budget (including currency): N/A Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Warzone 2, Forza H5, MSFS Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 4070ti, 32gb ddr4 3200mhz, not decided on mobo yet. I plan on 1080p ultra graphics with 1440/4k once i eventually upgrade my monitor. My question is: Can anyone give me a definite answer on if the r7 5800x3d is worth it. I can buy either and I've read that the 5800x3d is the "best gaming processor in the world" but I'd like to hear from some users to see if yall think its worth it.
  10. Got rid of some old PCs from work and since I only have the "free" version of windows on my home computer I thought I could use the license key from an old PC to officially license my copy of Windows. Is there any harm in doing this? i.e. will it mess up my current windows or have the chance to corrupt files or anything like that? Thanks for any help
  11. Makes sense, I have a 1660 so Ill probably just wait it out
  12. It might be because gaming is a heavier load and it makes more heat. I'd replace the thermal paste and make sure your fans and cpu cooler are clean
  13. It shouldn't but it can. Seasonic is a good brand and should have safeguards to make sure it doesn't catch fire or fry components. It's obviously less risk to go ahead and swap it instead of waiting for failure
  14. Will GPU pricing go back down in the near-ish future or should I just spend a lot and go ahead and get a new (probably 3060) at the current price point?
