  1. I "solved" by unchecking the box "normalise volume of tracks with replay gain tags", that for some reason I had left checked. Still, it's very very hard to understand why if I play the files from C: that option is ignored anyways, like from there the player can't read the gain tags. Don't know what to say.
  2. Hi there, I really don't know what to say, but I if move certain FLACS from my C: drive (SSD) to my backup drive (Seagate HD), they play at a MUCH lower volume, and maybe even lower quality. I tried multiple times, it does that even with FLACs I encode myself. WTH is that? I'm really mind-gobbled. The player is Music Bee and I have a Topping DX3+ Pro. thanks
  3. Budget (including currency): TBD Country: Italy Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video editing with Davinci Resolve Studio Other details no existing parts. the system has to be built from scratch. hi there, I need to build a semi-professional video editing system. It will be used in a cinema school for the students to practice. There's no need to go top tier hardware, but at the same time it should not be a entry level machine. Any advice? Thanks
  4. I currently have a 4070 but I'm planning to get a 4080. My case is a BeQuiet Pure Base 600 and I have a 750w power unit. I live in Italy. I'm kinda satisfied with the performance but I'd like more. I game and also edit videos and photos.
  5. Hi there, I'd like to get a whole new PC build. My current one is: 5900x. Asus X-570P, G.Skill Aegis 2x16GB PC 3200 F4-3200C16D-32GIS. What should I get to have a noticeable performance improvement? Would you suggest sticking to AMD with AM5 or switching to Intel? Thanks a lot.
  6. I don't know about that... for the first month I played PUBG with my old 3700x and 1080 and performances were not so distant from what I get today with 5900x and 4070... i think there's indeed some kind of problem at a software level maybe...
  7. I did all of that and benchmarks are good. Still, PUBG runs poorly. It seems a bunch other people to have this problem. I read some youtube comments and they are in my same exact situation. I altro tried to mess around with every possible PUBG setting but to no avail. I don't know what to say.
  8. Yes 2560x1600 (Dell U3014). Latest bios, lates everything. GPU drivers installed in safe mode after having uninstalled the previous ones (also in safe mode) with DDU. I tried DX11 and DX11e, results are exactly the same. The point is, many videos I see show FPS that are almost double compared to mine, with similar systems...
  9. Hello, with the system in signature i recently bought a 4070 (I know, I know) and coming from a 1080 I noticed a pretty big step-up in performance in every game... except for PUBG! In PUBG, keeping the same exact settings as before (1600p), I only noticed a bunch of additional frames, and that's it. For example, in situations where I got 70-80 FPS now I get around 100. I expected a much more noticeable improvement in performance, also because I watched some videos of people with my very same card and very similar system easily surpass 200fps on PUBG at 1440p with ULTRA settings. What the hell?
  10. Hi there, I have a 2080 Super with brand new thermal pads (Gelid solutions 1,5mm) and Noctua NH2 thermal paste. In idle, the GPU stays at about 35°, but as soon as I launch a game the temps skyrocket to 85° and remain steady there, with fans spinning at about 80% (annoying). Once in a while temps go above 85° and fans spin at 100%, but just for a few seconds. Overall, I can game for hours at these conditions, but the high temps still annoy me. Before replacing the thermal pads it never reached those temps. I tried to re-apply the paste and thigten the screws as much as possible (maybe the thermal pads are too thick?) But to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks!
  11. Hi there, I currently have a 5900X on a X570-P motherboard with two DDR4 16GB G.Skill TridentZ 3600 C18 RGB K2 [F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX] RAM. What RAM could I buy to notice a performance improvement? We're talking about 2x16GB. Thanks
  12. thanks a lot, but I think those are well beyond the budget of about 6/700€. Here they cost about 1000/1100€/$
