MS-DOS reacted to Biohazard777 in Most AI software to modify existing footage
An RTX 4090 takes roughly a second to generate a single Stable Diffusion 512x512 image. (tad faster but doesn't matter)
So lets say your movie is 512x512 (which it isn't), and your movie is 24 fps... welp you'd need 24 seconds to generate 24 frames... single second of your movie.
A 2 hour 512x512 @ 24fps movie would take 2 days to generate. And I bet you'd need to re-generate or fix a considerable amount of frames, taking even more time.

And yes I understand you do not want "generative" stuff... just a style change.
Welp that is still generative stuff with specific instructions and starting parameters...
If you have the HW, electricity, and time to burn, knock yourself out:
And if you want it to look good:
Welp it takes even more work 😆

As in just an automatic video editor that you feed clips and it makes a video for you?
Basically every video editor has been able to do this for many years. iMovie and Windows' built-in video editor can do it, Microsoft Clipchamp can do it, hell, Windows Movie Maker can do this. Movavi and VideoPad are two paid options I've used.

For subtitles, there are subtitling softwares and plugins. PowerDirector is a classic, Davinci Resolve has this feature too, and Kapwing actually has """AI""" subtitling.

BTW none of these features require AI. Half of the things branded "AI" are just an existing algorithm with a new bow on top to play into the current hot trend.

Nice. Classic Windows move, taking away features people use.
Davinci Resolve and Clipchamp are free. Clipchamp would probably be the easiest to get into.

MS-DOS got a reaction from da na in AI video editor for this?
Basically I would like that the captions are automatically generated but also highlight the word that is being said by having a different color and bigger size.
The video would be just the cuts of different raw sources, then have it whatever parts are considered interesting and cut them and put them together with transitions.

MS-DOS got a reaction from podkall in AI video editor for this?
Does anyone know a video editor that will do the following?
    1) Be able to feed it footage from different video files and add some cuts and transitions and put together a 3 minute video
    2) Automatically detect subtitles and add them for sing along lyrics type video

If anyone knows a software that can do this please let me know. I know AI is doing some crazy thing nowadays so I think this should be possible. Much appreciated.

If they log the IP somewhere, yes. A server must know your IP, otherwise it couldn't respond to you.

So im gonna use VRM for all case fans for a while and see what happens.

MS-DOS reacted to GuiltySpark_ in What BIOS do I need for Aorus Pro x570??
If you update your BIOS its likely going to be reset to factory defaults. In fact if you're having issues, resetting your board to factory defaults would be something you do before doing whole BIOS update.

The easiest to find out with your motherboard is Rev 1.0 or 1.1/1.2 ... or Rev *whatever*
Is to open up your PC and ACTAULLY, PHYSICALLY LOOK at your motherboard.

also updating is needed for 5000 CPU, and for ReBAR

I stand corrected. With how different the Rev. 1.0 and Rev. 1.2 boards are memory wise, they shouldn't be the same BIOS, but Gigabyte.

Gigabyte's in BIOS checksum validator. It'll show up when you try to do a BIOS update, it'll perform a checksum, give that number, then ask if you want to proceed.

How about trying LibreWolf with uBlock, or Brave (no need for additional blocking extensions).

MS-DOS reacted to aisle9 in is there real risk that a chinese battery explodes?
In my experience, the problem with cheapo overseas batteries is that they:
Arrive DOA Arrive missing most of their capacity Arrive missing most of their capacity with firmware in place that makes it look like they're in perfect shape Go from holding a respectable charge to having a five-minute lifespan within a matter of months Turn into a spicy pillow Pick one or more of the above. It's safe to assume that proper protections either aren't in place or are much weaker than they would be in an OEM part, so fire is maybe a higher risk than in an OEM battery, but I've never had one actually combust on me.

You are more likely to get a potato of a battery than for it to explode.
On the topic of exploding batteries: may I direct your attention to LG ES with the Note 7, Chevy Bolt, Hyundai Kona, iD.4, and Chrysler Pacifica hybrid.

Unlikely, but I'd still get one that had some form of identifier on it to increase your chance that it'll work. Used genuine is almost guaranteed to be better than new mystery card.

MS-DOS reacted to BiotechBen in Replacements for my old laptop
    1. An SSD swap will be fairly easy, you'll need to do a full image copy of the HDD to the SSD which won't be bad, I'd recommend either a Crucial mx500 or WD blue for the replacement, both are very reliable and reasonably priced. Macrium Reflect is a free and easy to use software to do that and as long as you follow the directions it'll be a piece of cake.

    2. WiFi card may be bios locked to that model so it'll probably end up being just a direct replacement.

    3. The battery is going to be a Chinese battery, do some research, get one that is well rated and reviewed

    4. For RAM, going beyond 16gb is going to have diminishing returns unless you have workloads that will benefit from more than 16gb, so stick to dual channel 2x8 for that. It's very unlikely that the CPU in that supports quad channel operation so 2 sticks will be fine.

MS-DOS reacted to 8tg in Trying not to get scammed on ebay
Check sold items, if you check sold items you can see what an account has been up to.
Seemingly normal accounts can end up being scams if you’re not careful, example:

Normal listing, normal price, user has been around since 2005, has good feedback albeit not too much of it, description is normal, pictures are of a real item.
Everything looks fine, just that all they’re selling is this Titan XP

    But…

All they’ve sold is the Titan XP over and over again, the same listing with minor photo edits. It’s almost certainly a scam or something else going on. You see this a lot with people either farming feedback, or pulling a shipping fee scam, where they ask for signed shipping for security on their end as a seller, and then cancel the order saying the item was damaged, but they don’t refund your increased shipping cost.
Alternatively they could just be selling the item with untracked shipping and nobody has received it yet, with the hope that at least a few transactions will post to their account before anyone catches on.

Be mindful of what you’re buying and who you’re buying from.

I had the same issue at home. No grounding. Have you tested with the USB plug disconnected from the PC? Does you get zapped if you touch the PC case as well. Then you got a wiring problem inside the PC. Could just be a molex connecter or something touching the case. I had this issue one time.
