Try seeing if you can find a Drevo Seer Max. It's stupidly good without being expensive, only thing is it uses ABS keycaps which wear faster. I have it myself too, and it's amazing. However the wireless (USB) connection did stop working once, but it doesn't happen very often and you can use it wired.

Not super on topic, but I hate when I say I am a pc nerd and people automatically think I am rich because I have more than 1 PC at my disposal. Seriously, do you think I would be streaming with Ryzen 5 1400 if I was rich???

Cable time. Any ideas and feedback appreciated.

The SG13 is a great little case. However, if I could change only one thing about the design, it would be to have the I/O cables attached to the frame itself so the front panel could come off cleanly. When I made the decision to rotate the fan, it was a real pain in the butt because I had already started routing cables..

The motherboard clearance is actially decent, which gave me an idea...

...to use just a little bit of tape to try and train the cables around the standoff so they can poke up from underneath the motherboard a little bit. Ideally it won't have to stay taped down and will hold its shape after a few days.

I rotated the fan so the cable could run with the USB 3.0 connector. Neither cable is really long enough to go under the motherboard and back out again, so I went around the right side to keep it cleanish. My GPU is only single fan and as long as the motherboard so the cables won't be in the way.

The most awkward cable is by far the HD audio which just kinda runs up the middle. It's too short to join and then run past the USB/fan cable. If ITX motherboards had their audio header with the rest of the I/O it wouldn't be a problem either. For now I'll be just leaving the cable as is and then see how I can tuck it under the GPU.

Hey there. Took a look at both vendors. Physically, both boards seem to use the same PCB, keycaps, and switch types. Software-wise? Not sure. I believe SK61 uses some "Skyloong" software, which is distributed/handled here by 极客定制 (also Jikedingzhi, can be translated to "Geek Customized"). But Epomaker's and YunZii's driver download links are different, and each brand could have made slight modifications to the software to make the product "their own".

Not 100% sure, but I think the original SK61 was sold by Geek Customized/极客定制/Jikedingzhi? Geek Customized's Banggood listing seems to be older than both Epomaker and YunZii's Amazon listings, and the PCB has the 极客定制/Jikedingzhi brand name inked onto it. Just a hunch. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

TLDR: I think it's the same product, from different vendors. Unsure about the keyboard's software, though.

Hey there. I think I remember hearing that laser mice worked better on hard mousepads, and that optical mice worked better on cloth ones/both types? Not sure whether mousepad material affects FPS accuracy by much (not an FPS gamer, can't say).

I can say that the cheapo, brand-less cloth mousepad I bought years ago is still serving me quite well to this date, and that prior to it, I remember using a hard mousepad that was comparably less durable and had a way shorter lifespan. A year or two at best, maybe, littered with cracks along the edges and scratches/bends on the surface.

Mousepads are more personal preference, the accuracy depends more specifically on the material of the mousepad, extended mouse pads will give you move room to move the mouse if you have the desk space, although whether it is worth it for you depends if you need/want that range of movement enough to justify the extra expense.

Remember the old Apple Ad "I'm a Switcher"? Well after 40 years with Apple I'm Switcher from Apple to PC. Apple is now a phone company.

This is my second build after the switch. First was a dual Xeon build with (4) 1080Ti's. I'm a retired Aerospace Engineer and did a lot of CAD and Graphics work during my career. I enjoyed it so much it's now my hobby in retirement. (Never did like to Golf).  I use a lot of different software but currently Solidworks for modeling, Cinema 4D for modeling and animations & Redshift for rendering.

This is my first build ever with an AMD CPU. All my career in engineering I used Xeon UNIX workstations as that is what they use in Aerospace. Very expensive boxes in the 70's and 80's. Like $70k per box and the CAD software I used was like $50k per seat annually.  This new build of mine is 100's of times faster than those vintage boxes I used.

Anyway, the main goal for this build was to build the strongest workstation possible inside a standard PC case. This workstation sits on my desk very close to me. I didn't want a mining rig, rack mounts or anything external like MoRa3's etc. My office is fully air conditioned and luckily I'm half deaf so fan noise is never an issue with me. Led Zeppelin blew out my left ear drum at a concert in 1974, indoor venue. I've never been able to hear from my left ear since that day. I feel lucky I didn't lose both.

I dual boot this new build with Win 10 for Workstations and Linux Ubuntu. I still keep a Mac attached via a KVM switch but find myself using it less and less.

Temps:  After 1 hour Hybrid Render, CPU 64 cores @ 100% utilization, GPUs @ 95-99% utilization.

    CPU:  66-68c
    GPUs: 50-55c
    Water: 42c

I don't do any gaming but I certainly could with this rig. It's insane fast. This build is actually more suited to Creating games.

I modeled my custom Radiator Assembly to scale in Solidworks to insure it would fit in the space I had planned for it.
