I've just ordered a HP Proliant Microserver Gen8 and am looking to upgrade the RAM. I have 2 x 4GB Kingston Hyperx Beast 2400MHz sticks which I'd like to use, does anybody know if they'll work at all? If not, are you able to use NON-ECC RAM or does it need to be ECC? Many Thanks!

I've found the best to be Youtube Center. Has a ton of functionality and I believe it was recommended/mentioned by Linus and Slick in an episode of the WAN Show.

It doesn't really sound like a hardware issue if other mediums play 1080p fine. What sort of download/upload speeds are you getting? Your connection speed could be your issue, especially if 720p and lower resolutions play fine. If your speeds look fine, it might be worth installing the Youtube Center add-on for your browser and disabling Dash Playback. This means it can then buffer the whole video rather than smaller blocks which may or may not improve your viewing.

Must be, although I did notice the manufacturer ID was 'Manufacturer ID: BK013*FREE*' Maybe it was something they were testing that wasn't supposed to go live.

It is something to do with the Network connection but I am not sure how to permanently resolve the issue. A temporary fix for me has been to disable the Ethernet adapter before I put the computer to sleep, and it will sleep fine. Having it enabled will cause it to bring itself out of sleep within a couple of minutes. Control Panel --> Network and Internet --> Network and Sharing Center --> Change adapter settings
