Thunderbolt pcie , works.
Asus also has a 4x m.2 card on Amazon.
I got a usb c/usb 3.1 usb adapter, however over a thunderbolt it would reach similar speeds of onboard. Gparted in linux copy paste drive, expand and done..
Stepson, his laptop hdd is dying, so i installed windows 10, old.system copy over what i can.
Just if i had the LTT tech budget as IT Security Engineer... even as an IT shop , a dedicated higher speed cloning box. Thunderbolt, usb c are on the wishlist.
M.2 to larger m.2 on pcie i could imagine even with bottle necks, vs sata magnetic to m.2 is still far more awesome.
Got a few grand cough cough..
