Not a super good cooler as is, swapping it out would probably be a good idea

Maybe something like a gammaxx 400

Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot of people having issues with Rockstar games on pc?

Principally, getting RDR2 to run with any consistency, but also GTA5.

I know its obviously an exaggeration to say it's a widespread issue - but I do see a lot of people having some issue or another with those two, most recent, R☆ games.

The rockstar games launcher should not be touched when you own the game on steam it will open itself when you open on steam, if it doesn’t start reinstall the launcher and download a new new install of the launcher, also the launcher for PC just sucks in general I know from experience

Depends on wiring, often worse than wifi, esp if your directly above. A good wifi setup with a single wall should be pretty fast(>500mbit with high end access point and client)

This is your best option, and should give you gig speeds.

Since you are going for a high-end aftermarket cooler, are you planning on overclocking or need silent cooling performance, if not then something like this will work great (the included Ryzen coolers are good although a bit noisy):
    https://www.amazon.it/DEEP-COOL-GAMMAXX-Ventola-Aggiornata/dp/B082DZ8184/ref=sr_1_8?__mk_it_IT=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&crid=3S453IY6H5LL9&dchild=1&keywords=deepcool+gammax&qid=1591366605&sprefix=deepcool+ga%2Caps%2C248&sr=8-8

Would recommend upgrading to a 3800X if the price is the same or slightly more expensive since you will get better performance, a better included cooler, better overclocking potential, etc:

    Those lists a mess...

Do NOT get a fire hazard like that cougar. Get a CX 550.

Do NOT get a shit motherboard, get the ASRock B450 Pro4

Do NOT get the SeaGate drive. Get a larger SSD or a WD Blue since the Barracuda will NOT last that long.

    Get a 3300X or a 3600. Anything else is a waste

Get the 5500 XT over the 580/1660. Only get a 1660 Ti if that's available for a decent price

JJCooper_ reacted to Shreyas1 in how to tell if a gpu is what the seller says
    Its definitely a scam,

if something looks too good to be true, it generally is. I would expect eBay to shut it down in a few days once they catch wind of whats happening. I assume that the sellers account got hacked or something and is being forced to sell it. The info is probably taken from google/evga website as well.

Another thing to keep in mind is that while the rating that the person selling it has is 100%, its a buyer rating and not a seller rating. The person bought something from someone else and they gave him a 5 star review.

If you're running a 2080 Super and liquid cooling, you should definitely not hunt for a case with an included PSU.

As for performance difference, you will mostly see it in desktop tasks like web browsing or other apps. Gaming won't be really affected.

If you are just cleaning out dust, then there is no need for one. But if you are taking out components like the Mobo, then you might as well wear the wrist strap so you dont short something or build up static.

AMD for sure however i do agree with @Arika S if you can stretch a second hand dGPU or a rx570/580 as @minibois said it will do you a lot  better in most games however does depend on what you want to play though.
  21. Agree
JJCooper_ reacted to Kisai in Who has better integrated graphics on a budget, AMD or Intel?
And the reason for that is they build their own GPU cores. Intel didn't for the longest time and has given up a few times.

No integrated graphics solution has ever been "good" but when you compare something like an A8-APU to "Intel HD Graphics 4600" , the A8 laps the Intel part by like a factor of 4.

It's simply no contest. Intel's CURRENT iGPU's are not even equal to a 9 year old discrete AMD GPU.

At best, Intel's GPU parts are intended to be just-capable enough for video decoding, and not much else. They're usually fine to use in office PC's that don't really take advantage of the kind of performance you'd want in a gaming PC, but they absolutely suck for even low-end gaming. Like the comparison the UHD Graphics 620 is made to the Radeon HD 6700 from 2011.

Even the Vega 6 is more powerful than the 620.
  22. Agree
JJCooper_ got a reaction from minibois in Who has better integrated graphics on a budget, AMD or Intel?
AMD has significantly better APU's. They have somewhat decent Vega graphics on the Ryzen platform. Intel just doesn't have good integrated graphics.
  23. Agree
JJCooper_ reacted to minibois in Who has better integrated graphics on a budget, AMD or Intel?
The videocard in a 3200G or 3400G does better in gaming than an Intel i3 9100 or 9400.

But depending on the prices of the APU, it is sometimes possible to go with an older Ryzen chip and an RX 570/580.

If this is too expensive, you could go with B450 no problem. You'll still be able to upgrade up to a 3900X in the future with a B450 board (MSI B450 MAX boards are the way to go here: Gaming Plus, Tomahawk, A-Pro).

If you were to go down the B450 route I'd upgrade the ram to 3600MHz/CL16 with the saved money (it costs just ~ $10 extra - so this is something I'd consider even if you stick with the X570 board).

JJCooper_ reacted to Chaosfluff in Retro Mod: PC straight out of an old russian power plant
I think, this might belong here:

Some time ago, I fell in love with the look of Nixie tubes. Nixie tubes are the kind of display which was used before 7-segment-displays came into market, so until maybe 1980ish or something. For futher information, go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nixie_tube

Since I love the aesthetics of these nixie tubes, I wanted them in a Computer for displaying CPU temperature and load, GPU temperature and load, RAM load and Graphic Memory Load. The general idea was to build something, that could have belonged in an old russian power plant, or something that could easily be interpreted as some kind of scientific instrument. So I made this retro looking system, with a custom watercooling. Since in the 1950s plastic tubing wouldn't be a viable option (and it also would have looked like sh!t, in combination with the rest), I used copper, brass and stainless steal fittings and tubes only. But why do I even bother to describe? Just take a look for yourself.

A general impression of the build:

Actually, it is a terrible design for repairing or modifying something. In order to get to the actual hardware, you have to loosen eight screws, disconnect the fans and the pump, and carefully lift the whole upper part, including the radiator, the pump and the reservoir. It is managable, but it is way more bothersome than just untightening two screws. Here a picture of the opened case:

The right section  of the PC (here bottom left) is the part, where the whole electronics for displaying the numbers on the nixie tubes is situated. Also, a regular D5 pump is screwed to the lid, you can estimate it's location by following the  metal tubes. Here a closeup of the electronics:

But I haven't even spoken about the most important part! Actually, since the beginning, I also had another purpose in mind for the PC. It was designed to be a heated surface, right next to where a human would be a great amount of time. In other words, it is a very nice cat resting place. My cat Günter already claimed it.

Oh, and I guess you guys also want to know the actual hardware. Here you go:
    -Ryzen 3800x
    -Geforce 1080ti
    -16GB Ram
    -500GB NVME SSD
    -1TB S-ATA SSD
    -2TB HDD
    -8TB HDD
    -MB: Gigabyte GA-AX370M-Gaming 3

I hope, you guys like it! If any question remain, I would be happy to answer them.

PS: The idea and design for this build was actually created, before ltt created their copper tube build. But since I am a poor student, and all parts together were like 2000€, I had to save quite a while for it. Whatever, I guess neither they nor I were the first ones to actually use copper tubes. So, Whatever.
