So i have this setup : an msi a320 pro m2 v2, with this an A8-9600 processor, a single 8 gb ram bar, a 240gb ssd, 1000 gb hdd, and an 500 W aerocool PSU (available plug end : 2 molex (4pin) and 0 6pin pci-e connector).
my friend can give me an old (used around 16 months) gtx 1060 3go, BUT he said it needs to be powered by an 6 pin pci-e, so i checked in my computer(everywhere) and my psu doesn't provide any.. however there is 2 molex available.
SO I WAS THINKING to buy a molex to 6-pin adaptator,
I checked online the 1060 3g "only" uses 106W (see the attached picture), so maybe a molex -->6pin can provide enough to make it work
So is it possible to molex to 6pin pci-e, (with just 1 molex) in order to supply electricity to my graphic card ? If i want to buy a new PSU i need to redo all my cable management etc and i would like to escape this, however i would also like to not destroy my gpu or make cables melt inside my pc case.
