  1. update, intel answered the guys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBqYzoagIPk intel answered the guys, and the video summary is: erased the negative rma from the system reopened the rma ticket requesting that they correct the request stating: XMP usage status for "NOT APPLICABLE" (in other words, asked to lie on the rma form). they basically cited all USA + Linus youtubers, saying that if they buy exactly the same kit that intel sends to them and use the same parts used in intel's marketinkg you WILL HAVE NO WARRANTY. They will send this case to justice, because the laws here in Brazil do not allow practices that will lead the consumer to error (in this case every marketinkg that is made and disclosure of intel here is on top of the OC, and when doing OC you have no guarantee not one). said that they doubt that any other consumer will have the same "deal" to have the chance to "correct" the information sent in the rma form they cursed the intel again, and said they would not send the i3 to the rma and will leave the same exposed in the scenario to always remember this case. basically this is the summary of the video of the guys.
  2. I agree, but it will happen to the final consumer. we're basically screwed.
  3. from what the video implied, the client didn't even know about the denied rma. and how they paid for the new cpu...
  4. it was very poorly explained, in this case the cpu died randomly. what they mentioned was that they did the test to put this cpu with problems on another pc that was working correctly, and it doesn’t work with this cpu. but with another 8th gen processor it works normally, both on the original pc sold to their customer and on the test pc.
  5. yes, the cpu died. in their words, they put the cpu on another test pc and it didn’t turn on, with another cpu the pc works normally. it's really a problem not being able to understand the video, and the dynamic caption on youtube is totally wrong, to help.
  6. I have no way of saying why, I'm not linked to the store, but in terms of being a common buyer: here, stores are required by law to give a 3-month warranty to consumers, if the manufacturer offers a 3-year warranty (in the case of intel), it is a 3-month warranty with the store and the rest with the manufacturer of the product. it may have happened that the 3 months of the mandatory warranty had already passed with their supplier and the same had it checked with intel. this happens a lot here with any type of product and service purchased.
  7. that is the problem, this is the first case of denied rma published here that had such repercussions. the other cases are due to Intel's delay in executing the rma when exchanging the product and reaching the point of not even changing the cpu but returning the money. just to get a sense, the intel rma for what is posted on the forums here took an average of 20 days to resolve, at the end of the last year so far reporting a delay of more than 40 days.
  8. "Does that mean they replaced the cpu out of pocket?" exactly. "Not a big loss there.... what's it worth 100$ new (U.S. currency) 125 bucks maybe?" unfortunately here in the country because of the economy, an i3 8100 is worth a lot of money, just see the prices I posted for the other guy above.
  9. summarization is what I mentioned. in the video they read the answer of the RMA denied because of the XMP that is in the invoice. they scold the company a lot. say they already gave another cpu to their customers. who will request a contact with intel to have an official feedback on the RMA policy. that depending on the answer they will boycott the intel cpu. in one detail, they scolded the video so much that they cut and censored several parts. and to be warned I'm not linked to this store. I only buy from their competitors because it is cheaper. hahahahahahhaha.
  10. the average price of used is R$ 600. not worth it. but this is another problem due to the economy of the country that does not have much to do with the case.
  11. talking about the video I can't tell you if it's click bait. but in the forums here in Brazil there are several reports that intel was not sending more new processors in the RMA, but returning the money more than 40 days late. you can't tell if it is a specific RMA problem here in the country or if it is widespread.
  12. it’s a way, but I don’t know if it’s the same in your country. here it is very common to have discounts on purchases for the total amount of the order. and almost always the CPU is the most expensive part after the GPU. just to have a price review here, i3 8100 costs on average R 844.34 and the minimum wage of 1 month of service here is R$1,045 so there are a lot of these discounts over the total purchase price. Anyway, the warning is that Intel is applying RMA policies to the letter now.
  13. you do not inform, the invoice informs = D and there is no way to modify the invoice here in Brazil.
  14. to complement, the invoice here in Brazil is electronically controlled by the government, there is no way to change the information on it without having problems with the tax authorities.
