  1. he plans on overclocking down the track but atm he doesnt want too i will be suggesting a cooler though, a aftermakert air cooler like a hyper 212x should be fine
  2. hey i have been asked to build a system for my friend he has given me a budget of $3000 aud like in the title the system will be used for gaming and some cad, so i have come up with two system that i think would be suitable. as he has nothing the system price has to include keyboard mouse and monitors x3 (he wants three). here are the systems i have come up with. the two systems are for different companys hence the price difference on some of the same items what do you think. also i know they keyboard and mouse arent included in them quotes i think that is more a personal preference for him to decide on.

  5. so i am looking to get a laptop as i dont have room to setup my desktop anymore. i am limited to $500 aud so i have been looking at older laptops the ones that have sparked my interest where the lenovo x2XX series or the elitebooks here are 3 i am looking at. yes i know they are a fair way under 500 but to put it simply i dont really plan on using them forever so i dont want to spend big. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HP-EliteBook-2560p-125-Core-i52410m-4GB-250GB-Webcam-BT-Win-7-Pro-Laptop-/221683303882#viTabs_0 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lenovo-IBM-ThinkPad-X201-i5-2-4GHz-4GB-128GB-SSD-DVDRW-WIFI-N-SD-WINDOWS-7-PRO-/371253158561?pt=AU_comp_laptop&hash=item567069a2a1 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HP-ProBook-5320m-Core-i5-460M-2-53GHz-4GB-250GB-13-3-Webcam-Laptop-/171649286465?pt=AU_comp_laptop&hash=item27f7184141 so what are everyones thoughts should i just give up and buy something like a hp stream and deal with the reported lag. should i get a chromebook and be stuck in a browser, or would secondhand hardware be suitable. i am coming from a desktop with a i5-2500k ssd boot and 8gb of ram so i am expecting to notice a little bit of a performance hit. cheers guys
  6. it looks to be a decent size my note3 is a little to big for one hand usage and i have pretty big hands, but losing realestate on the screen worries me. plus samsung with their double app everything (one android version one samsung version) bothers me htc doesnt look like they do that. just hope that it doesnt use hangouts for messaging.
  7. so i have a netgear dgn1000 at one end of my house and wireless is horrible at the other end of the house, so i saw the local shop had a dlink dir632 on sale for $5. i have previously had a setup like this (with different hardware) work but for the life of me i cant get this to connect on the dlink end. I really hate to be a newb and go beg for help but I cant figure it out.. I dont have alot of money hence the low-end hardware so please don't recommend i go out and but new stuff. I am located in Australia and connect via pppoe to my isp (if you need that info) i am using cat 6 cable between the dlink and the netgear. does it matter that i am not using port one of the netgear to connect to the dlink? Please help. cheers
  8. Thought you might like to read this interesting read plus it fits in with your weekly EA news topic, i Would assume the sales is all that they care about in this topic. http://www.kotaku.com.au/2013/07/ea-honestly-believes-simcity-has-been-a-success/
  9. bought an antec 300 case because i wanted a cheap case, worst idea now i need to buy another case to get a h100 or similar in it plus there is zero cable management options.
  10. the guy in the video does it kinda right its hard to explain. but please spend the $30 and buy a proper heat gun, i have done 10 whole car wraps, countless mobile phones, 2 motorbikes, Dont use a card on the edges use your finger you will notice if there are any creases in the vinyl. when you're happy with how it is sitting you have to heat the edges up to above 90 degrees C to activate the glue otherwise in a couple of weeks or months it will start to lift. here is a photo of my car https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...11182756_n.jpg
