That first link I am not positive about, but the link below I actually own and use on a laptop with usb type C 3.1 gen 1 that I am sure does NOT support the display port alt mode, but the HDMI adapter on the unit will drive a 4k monitor, at 30hz of course.

With USB 3.1 gen 1 speeds are 5Gbit/s which seems to cap adapters at 4k/30hz or 2k/60hz ... at least I've never seen an adapter that supported 4k/60hz on 5Gbit/s. Example: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Adapter-microSD-MacBook-Pixelbook/dp/B07H4VQ4BZ/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?ie=UTF8&aaxitk=Dd-wIgp7KCv6IH7s5fwS1g&hsa_cr_id=2572027100801&ref_=sb_s_sparkle

Only if there is Displayport Alt mode included in that port, which I do not see a mention of on the Acer website. Do check if there is a tiny Displayport logo next to the USB type C port:

Even then, it would be a guess if it will work at 4K60Hz.

    3440*1440 or 2560*1080?
The 1440 UW can only do up to 100Hz on HDMI 2.0, 1080 UW can do 144Hz.
But those are theoretical numbers, I have seen devices not support the maximum theoretical before.
