I build my first PC last month, and really had a bad time. It eventually worked, but I have an issue that I'm not able to solve. I've done a lot of research over the last few weeks and I'm still stuck.
The computer works great most of the time. Sometimes my PC powers on, but does not boot far enough to reach even the BIOS about 20% of the time. It only seems to happen from a completely cold boot, and I've never seen it happen when doing a quick reboot. My research points to... almost any component can be responsible. I don't have a huge pile of PC parts to swap out randomly. The most likely cause seems to be a faulty power supply sending "dirty" power on boot occasionally, or I have a bad motherboard. I'm really just guessing at this point. I have the most up to date BIOS for my Tuf Gaming x570, and it's on 1405. I've seen a lot of complaints about this firmware, so that might be part of the problem. I have reset my CMOS a few times already to fix other issues.
So other than maybe figuring out how to fix this, is it even worth trying to fix? Occasionally I have to hold down the power button to kill power and then push it again, and everything boots up just fine. It's kinda annoying, but will this issue get worse over time?
