  1. yes it does, the stress test too even launching some games is enough to cause the issue to happen. Thank you i will definetly keep this post updated and will tag you for more.
  2. After some difficulties the test of IGPU will be made later in the night he actually has had the issue repeating by simply watching someone else's screenshare on discord.
  3. I am aware they are easy to run i was trying to find a game that was higher GPU intensive than these but he did not play them much recently. Hence more of a reason why the GPU is more of a surprise to me that it's the issue. Emulation does put more stress IMO too.
  4. Unfortunately he does have 38-40 degrees shown with OCCT with steam, discord, epic, logitech GHUB in the background not doing anything. Yes he is currently on the 526.98 updated yesterday/this morning. He is going to test the integrated graphics solution. Thank you both so far. EDIT : Although i am kinda confused as to the GPU solution because when it works.. it works well. He is able to play games like league of legends rocket league and even emulate using retroarch normally and even multitasking using it and a game at the same time
  5. I agree with that it'll be difficult. Any driver to cherry pick or just roll back to previous one or ?
  6. The card barely has anytime to heat up that it immediately crashes so it cannot be overheating. This is very true though ( btw 1070Ti not 1080Ti. ) He kept the power limit at 100 ( under the fans section ) and put both the memory & core clock at the lowest value MSI afterburner slider let him do. And it still crashed during the same stress test using OCCT. BTW launching fortnite now immediately causes the system to undergo the same issue. DDU helps but barely for a bit before causing the same issue.
  7. The system is quite old and used, i wouldn't doubt some instability being shown due to this. It does indeed though. Following that underclock test, i am starting to really question the motherboard myself due to the description of the problem however DDU fixes this somewhat.. this is why it confused my initial hypothesis.
  8. Oh my god how did i not think of MSI afterburner i use it myself ._. Unfortunately we're online friends, i am simply sharing his problem around to help him out. No systems and parts around from what he's aware of to do testing which is really unfortunate. He's currently trying to get the sliders to the minimum see if it even passes the stress test this way. EDIT : using MSI afterburner, with both memory & core clocks all the way down to minimum his system still crashed.
  9. Cooler Master GX Bronze 750W 80 Bronze PLUS post has been updated to reflect this. He hasn't tried underclocking, would you have any resource to be able to do so easily just to test this out? possibly will try to do some GPU swap if he has one, will keep the post updated if that happens. THANK YOU for answering!
  10. Hello guys, i would like to help my friend solve this issue they're having while gaming hardware : ROG Strix Z390-F Gaming Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti Intel Core i7 8700k 3.70GHz 6 core Cooler Master GX Bronze 750W 80 Bronze PLUS 2x 8GB RAM This happens with most games, after a few minutes ( in some other games, even during the launch ) both of their screens turn black, CPU fan ramps to basically max and lose audio. After a few seconds, the audio comes back but still no monitor response nothing can be done except restarting the system. Stress testing the GPU with a program called OCCT reveals an instant crash at the start of said stress test. Reinstalling drivers with DDU yields results, managing to restore the system integrity for a few hours and then the whole scenario comes back. Updating directX & other software relating to the GPU did not solve the issue. What more could be done? Any possible sources to investigate? We're both at a stalemate here.
  11. A shame although my current fix is somewhat annoying yet efficient
  12. after some more digging i came across this post https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?125494-B550-F-Audio-Crackling the issue seems to be driver related, once i go into the realtek audio console and switch between headphone and front speaker out on the device advanced settings it temporarely solves the problem until next restart as stated. i'll be continuing more digging but it seems like an external solution might solve this issue since it's driver related.
  13. That's what i was initially thinking as well i have never seen headphones labelled in realtek softwares. Unfortunately i am in Belgium so no such apple USB-c to 3.5mm exists here.
  14. Well you see, my audio plans are starting with this simple fact : stop buying gaming branded headsets and go with a trusty reliable headphone My current situation does not allow me to spend another 200 euro on an external solution and would've taken the hd600's with one if i could i do appreciate the recommandation and will definetly take a look though ! If it were a cable problem i wouldn't have the issue occuring only a few times it would be a constant imo no crackling on my samsung A70 the adapter was included with headset so i would trust it but you never know at this point i ll keep the post open for more suggestions and making sure the program recognises them as headphones or if i should ditch it.
  15. Hello everyone, I have received my brand new SH HD560S and asus strix b550-f gaming (wifi) about a week ago and started having more questions than answers when i looked into my audio crackling issue with my headphones connected via 6,5 mm to 3,5 mm adapted jacks on the rear green headphone jack on the motherboard, i installed the latest audio drivers from the ASUS website as windows ( store ) also installed the realtek audio console they are currently reported as "speakers" with the correct impedance ( 120 ohms ) and set to "EXTREME" amplify level by default. No issues occured with this setup until now. The current issue is noticable audio crackling whenever audio comes in or i pause it in case of a "FLAC" audio file or someone stops talking on discord. One way to fix this issue is to turn on the pc as usual and then.. restart it. Yes as crazy as it sounds it sometimes fixes it. So how do i fix this issue for good? I have heard external audio amp/dacs are a good way to bypass all these confusing realtek... tech ( HD sonata pro being the most recommanded to me ) Should i try fixing my headphones misreporting as speakers? Should i even uninstall the audio console and sonic suite of apps? I really need some guidance here to see how to properly setup all this in software please !
  16. Hello everyone, Hoping EU people could help me out on this one but yes, i am in the market for a >300€ headphone The uses would be daily drivers ranging from gaming to music, movies, youtube, basically all of the above. The ones i am currently using is a steelseries arctis 7 headset. I read into a(n) DAC/AMP but since my motherboard has the crystal sound 3 realtek codec S1220A, it is apparently good enough for onboard audio. I have looked into the pinned posts on this Audio forum and have investigated into the sennheiser market, mostly the HD600's unfortunately most of the headsets available are in the US. Looking forward into your suggestions!~
  17. Yeah i am starting to document more and more videos talking about the fact DDR5 is not even that much of a difference actually. What matters right now is that they're a bit too new/expensive and such. Personally i would rather stick with W10 until it is not supported anymore. However most ( pressing anyway ) issues have more or less been resolved ( somewhat ) from what i've been gathering. Indeed, the new chip is quite able to handle even a 5800x in some cases. I would still like to enable MCE and XMP at the very least but not starting to deal with voltages manually and such. I'll take a look at prices see if they're yeeting down the face of the earth with the new release. Thank you for your answers, i'll still look forward to many other opinions and more answers from you~
  18. Hello there~ i did see you comment on some posts, thank you for coming ! I was actually thinking of doing just that, although i wasn't really optimistic going DDR4 with a brand new chip like that. The performance is mainly coming from DDR5 and win 11 scheduler. Plus, for the performance difference buying the chip + mobo and DDR5 would be a 1000€ even with kingston's valueram ( 32 gigs 4800MhZ CL40 ) 600 € without, i am not really sure.. i'll still take it into consideration i would really need to see some benchmarks with 2080 and DDR4. EDIT : i would also need to consider a new cooler from noctua right? The new LGA 1700 wouldn't be compatible with a NHD15S i believe As much as i think you are right, i still have the S version. And from multiple sources this chip is such a furnace even a NHD-15 has trouble keeping it cool, i don't really wanna give myself the trauma i do also have a corsair carbide series case with tons of airflow but i am still scared of that chip.
  19. Hello everyone, i am currently looking forward to upgrading my current rig with an upgrade due to multiple issues ( XMP profile boot looping my computer ) and help in various new workloads ( mainly emulation @120 FPS and new games like bf2042 and forza 5 ) I do not have a specific budget, although for now it would be max 600 € i'll just be working towards the goal overtime. My current objective is to be able to run my games at 1080 ( later upgrade to 1440P with LG monitor ) 144-160hz. At first i thought about going for a ryzen 5600x although a new mobo and 10% uplift in 1440P sounds a bit low and expensive at 550€ the upgrade. The new intel CPU's are pretty good although the performance seems to come from DDR5 and W11 scheduler and the price to upgrade is too high. the i9 9900K is too much of a furnace to cool off.. My ram might be too old? GPU is not a planned upgrade. Current Gaming Rig : CPU : I5 9600K ( with noctua NHD15S ) RAM : 16 Gigs of HyperX DDR4 3200 MHz CL18 ( UDIMM ? kit ) Motherboard : Asus Prime Z390-A GPU : RTX 2080 XC EVGA NVM-E boot SSD : Samsung 970 EVO + 500GIG Flower power 850W PSU BENQ 144 HZ 1080P monitor + auxilary 60Hz Multiple other storage devices for games mainly samsung 860 EVO SSD and HDD
  20. After about 3 months of normal use via USB, this blue yeti started behaving weirdly by completly stopping to pick up any more audio unless we replug it into another usb port available. Most solutions have already been tried such as : - Reinstalling the driver & verifying windows settings - Volume, default microphone, allow microphone in applications, ... - Haven't tried using it in a different PC because we don't have one. - During this issue, the power LED is still on. Do you guys have any solutions? Most of them are out dated at this point.
  21. xbox classic 360 one wii DS lite / 3DS / XL switch gameboy color was wondering about maybe trying out a PS at somepoint
  22. i have a question. When you say a pro controller do you mean the official licensed one costing a pretty penny or any controller would do? Because i know alot of controllers out there selling for 20 bucks but no knowing if they're actually worth getting.
  23. Title says it all, disgusting crackling noise using these headphones in docked ( or not ) nintendo switch. ( non oled version ) I have already disabled every option i could on sony's app on my phone ( which doesn't have the crackling sound mind you ) the crackling is especially present with the sounds you can hear as you eliminate an opponent in smash bros. and even more so at high volume. Any ways to fix this error? Edit 1 : My wired earbuds still work normally.
  24. the immediate comparison is that in "HD" mode, i do notice pictures being clearer however, the brightness takes a disgusting HUGE hit the whole screen feels like it has -50% brightness like a phone on lowest brightness settings. the overall experience is just much better under the PC section, however i'll try to get more info on the DP cable i am currently using to make sure it is suitable. Edit 1 : from what i am seeing, i ordered this displayport 1.2 cable https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B07JQKWX3C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
