  1. That's a real bummer, i wouldn't mind trying it though...
  2. Thank you very much I have figured out something a little stupid however; are you running all your games on fullscreen? I have a dual monitor setup my main 1440P LG 165hz and a 1080P 60hz samsung secondary Previously was always using borderless window in my games, but it gave terrible performance with this new card Turning on fullscreen fixes many of the performance issues in the 1% and 99th percentiles... testing in progress..
  3. Would you be able to show me what you mean by setting higher/ lower max clocks? Where exactly?
  4. I recently upgraded my rig from a rtx2080 xc EVGA to a RX7800xt nitro + from Sapphire with 24.3.1 drivers, made sure to use DDU in safe mode prior to installation. Made sure to also enable smart access memory / resizable bar. The GPU and CPU were automatically overclocked using AMD adrenalin. I haven't reinstalled my windows 10. Here's my current setup PSU : flowerpower leadex III 850W gold Mobo : ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) AM4 platform CPU : Ryzen 7 5800x ( non 3D ) RAM : 32gigs of corsair vengeance RGB Pro C16 @3200MHZ 970 EVO + boot drive samsung 860 evo 1TB 2TB HDD's After multiple tests in hell divers and darktide but also phantasy star online NGS; multiple crashes and even driver time outs happened by simply launching a match in the case of darktide. after some research, the crashes does seem to be helldivers related. I couldn't fix the issue even after checking this post the frame times and 99pourcentiles are incredibly inconsistent sometimes fixing themselves to being butter smooth after pressing alt enter to shift between fullscreen and borderless windowed. With high settings, the framerates fluctuate easily between 100 to 30 FPS. They are all over the place. When i tune the settings to the lowest, they do stabilize, but with micro stutters definitely present. Can someone please help me stabilize my PC? I have included darktide crash dumps and console logs to see if it would help you guys. Will make sure to test out more games as the post goes through troubleshooting. crash_dump-2024-03-23-19.03.07-cfe9b7e1-12bf-41d8-9e56-e217763c377d.dmp crash_dump-2024-03-23-20.30.21-831a4589-9beb-4e10-9360-cad68c8b555d.dmp console-2024-03-23-18.55.36-d5b44b93-ff8a-4f88-ac30-ad20a725d5c8.log console-2024-03-23-19.03.07-cfe9b7e1-12bf-41d8-9e56-e217763c377d.log console-2024-03-23-19.56.25-a271c735-4a1c-4f6a-ba75-86115f66b896.log console-2024-03-23-20.30.21-831a4589-9beb-4e10-9360-cad68c8b555d.log
  5. Still haven't found a solution to this still if anyone can give me pointers to keep control of it i'd appreciate it
  6. From more testing, it seems like the CPU without task manager to reign it in, is always max boosting as if i was gaming even though the computer just booted up. I need some sort of tool to keep it under control during desktop light loads and let it boost as usual during gaming sessions. Potentially i could underclock with ryzen master that i keep hearing about but i am not familiar with the program
  7. bios updated succesfully to ROG-STRIX-B550-F-GAMING-WIFI-ASUS-3002 no changes in behavior however.
  8. What do you suggest to perform this? I am in the process of updating bios
  9. Yeah i am sorry, at times my simple minded brain thinks undervolting will result in worse performance though it is depending of how it goes
  10. yeah i do not know why it is like this, but this is the first time i notice such a behavior on my voltages and temps. I do not know what happened, what can i do to bring it down during desktop light loads and spiking to gaming voltages when i play?
  11. i will update it, i have done it still. Made PBO manual in BIOS changed the values you requested to 150 here is the result, first is with task manager second is without it basically task manager kills the voltage and reduces the MHZ and thus the temperature but i do wonder if i can control this behavior better low voltage and MHZ in desktop and will only spike if i start programs, and games.. this is such weird behavior.
  12. i really don't have an explaination for that, so any suggestions..?
  13. tbh that's also what kinda scared me but i don't really have an antimalware software except malwarebytes free i have used it and nothing out of the ordinary came out of it.
  14. yeah, that's the main concerning part it draws 88W to keep a 4500 MHZ turbo for no apparent reason in desktop thus the high temps
  15. I am using a NHD15-S ( smaller brother of NHD15 ) and repasted recently. are you sure 66-77 degrees in desktop no gaming load isn't concerning without task manager open to calm it down..?
  16. Hello guys, today i have a weird behavior going on with my CPU. I have initially noticed a high temperature at idle ( only firefox, steam, discord open ) having 60-77 degrees celsius I decide to repaste my processor i haven't done it ever since i have initially bought it a while ago. The temperatures stays the same though now i encounter another weird behavior related to task manager and power draw. ( If it helps, my windows is set to ultimate performance in the power settings changing it doesn't affect anything ) the first screenshot is from CPUID HWMonitor without task manager; notice how the processor is at 88W steadily and with core 0 through 4 at 4.5 MHz with steady 64-66 celsius ( It shoots to 77 if i don't touch the cursor at times! ) once i put on task manager; this happens at screenshot 2 Core 0 goes between 4.7 to 3.7 MHz and the rest steadily at 3.7 voltage drops to 27 watts fluctuating to max 40ish and temperatures are now between 30-45 celcius What can i do to better control this behavior in my favor? I wouldn't want my CPU to burn itself out in desktop doing nothing but actually fully utilize it's power in gaming Those high temps are starting to scare me since i need this chip to last for a while !
  17. Will definetly do for him if the need arises, however, he mainly speaks a different language so i did this all for him to help!
  18. You are a man full of wisdom good sir will definetly do it accordingly. I was just merely wondering if you had any idea about those but i believe we're getting off topic for this thread so i think i will close it as a GPU ERROR If anything were to happen again i'll make another thread thank you so much for everyone's help !
  19. We're currently looking into what we possibly could do and set up a budget for a potential new buy but it's a complicated personal situation i will keep this professional and ask for advice whenever we have the need here thank you so much tier list will definetly be used as a resource, however, should we take into account single/multi rails?
  20. Yup he was looking at a 3060 Ti at one point. He's located in Switzerland. I am kinda afraid of his PSU tbh, maybe a used corsair/seasonic 850 would do better.
  21. Definetly will consider it and even told him that already to be honest. That's another possibility too with the current system he has, would you say a 3000 series is overkill? I was going to point him towards a cheap 1080-2000 series
  22. We shall see about that, it's uh.. not really into our skills to get into dissassembling a GPU and repasting it.
  23. Update ! My friend has changed his graphics card from 1070Ti to a GTX660 changed drivers and succesfully played a game of fortnite for now. Seems like atm it is indeed his graphics card.. Driver being used : 473.81
