Budget (including currency): 1,25,000 - 1,50,000 INR (approx. $1700 - $2000) Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly gaming with day-to-day office work, and seldom (twice or thrice a year) video rendering using HandBrake. And, I want that the system last me for another 6-8yrs. to come, since aprt from minor upgrades, I won't be doing a full-new setup. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have with me a few parts with me for now. 3 HDD (500GB + 500GB + 1TB), a speaker system. I am undecided on the resolution I should be eying for between 1080p & 1440p, and also the refresh rate for the same. I would be playing mixed games, from FPS shooter (CS:GO, Battlefield, Metro Exodus), and titles such as GTA V, NFS, Forza Horizon, Assassin's Creed, Shadow of tomb Raider, etc. Hence, I cannot decide the resolution that I should go for, and thereby the refresh rate for the same. Currently, I have with me 1600x900@60Hz 22" monitor from LG which does not have HDMI/DP port, it only has DVI-D/VGA port. Hi LLT Community, Happy New Year to all! I am planning to build a new PC since my previous one died (the socket pin on motherboard got bent). The previous build was Intel i5-2500K with a Intel only motherboard. I have decided on following parts for now, and hence need your advice & reviews on the same. (I have attached the link to the PC Part Picker list also, and the price are listed as the distributor/retailers have told me) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X [subject to availability] (since this seems to be the best for gaming, though I second the thought of going for Ryzen 7 3700X) -->> Getting it for nearly 28,000INR (or $385) Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X570 Plus Wi-Fi OR MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk Wi-Fi -->> Getting ASUS one for roughly 20,000INR (or $275), and the MSI one for 23,500INR (or $315) The Asus one does does offer more SATA III ports (8), while MSI one offers 6xSATA III ports, but has Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth 5.1 with 2.5G LAN. Price difference of approx. $35-40 isn't much too, but I cannot decide which one to go for. RAM: A 3600MHz or 3200MHz RAM in 16x2 configuration, or maybe a 8x2 configuration of the same. For 32GB configuration I think I would opt for Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18 AMD Ryzen Memory Kit - Black -->> Getting for it approx. 12,500INR (or $170) Though, I am confused if I should go for 16Gb or 32GB, and what should be the RAM speed that I should go for. SSD: A 500GB M.2 NMVe drive on PCIe Gen. 4. Looking forward to got with either Samsung 980Pro or Seagate FireCuda 520 (both 500GB in capacity, since I have my HDD with me, and it would be mostly used for OS boot only) -->> Samsung 980Pro is 11,750INR (or $162), whereas the Seagate FireCuda 520 is for 10,000INR (or $137). I might add another M.2 or 2.5" SSD for storage down the road, and have hence decided to go with Crucial MX500GB SATA III 2.5" SSD. GPU: RTX 3060Ti Founder's Edition, since 3070 would go way over my budget then. PSU: Gigabyte P GM 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply or Antec High Current Gamer 750 Gold Fully Modular any other ~650W+ power supply which need not be fully-modular though. -->> Getting the Gigabyte one for 6,700INR (or $92), and the Antec 750W one is for 8,250INR (or $112). Cabinet/Case: I am undecided here, but thinking to go with either a Deepcool/ Cooler Master/Lian Li/Corsair one, with a tempered side-panel and sufficient 3.5"/2.5" bays. Though, I would love what y'all suggestions would be. I need to build a PC on urgent basis since my previous one died I had planned on getting the RTX 3070, but it's not available yet for Indian market. So, I need help if I should be opting for an Intel or AMD based PC, given that I'll upgrade to RTX 3070 (if it's priced well here ). Hence, I don't wish to spend extra money on GPU (if I opt for non-integrated graphics based CPU). Thus, could y'all help me in selecting an integrated graphics CPU (be it Intel or AMD), that wouldn't bottleneck the RTX 3070, and be great for 6-8 yrs. Thanks.

BUDGET: $1,000 (in INR it would be Rs. 70,000) COUNTRY: India() USE AND PURPOSE: The build would be used for daily day-to-day computer activities such as word processing, web browsing, etc. The build would also be used for casual gaming, and occasional use of ripping old DVDs in Handbrake or related software. ** NOTE: I want a system that should suffice him for 5-7 yrs. to come. ** Before I list down the configuration planned by me, here is what he have in hand and hence would be used in the new configuration. Some of the parts would be upgraded or changed in near future. Input peripherals - Keyboard & Mouse A display monitor A speaker system A cabinet. The planned configuration is as follows. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ($195) Motherboard: ASUS X570 TUF GAMING PLUS ($240) Graphics Card: MSI GeForce 1660 Ventus Super 6GB ($265) RAM: A normal 3000MHz or 3200MHz 16GB RAM stick in 8x2 configuration. Power Supply: Cooler Master 650 ($60) SSD: A 2.5" SATA 500GB or a M.2 based 500GB SSD is what I'm confused with. HDD: A 2TB 7200rpm mechanical drive should be more than req. for him. My doubts are listed as follows:- How is AMD Ryzne 5 3400G compared to Ryzen 5 3600 ? And in accordance to my usage what could be a better option. What is the major difference between a x570 and x450 motherboard chipset ? Thanks in advance to everyone who helps.

Well, this is not I've planned for, and this is not the kind of surprise that I was expecting. ??? In that case I would definitely require a GPU. And, thanks for clarifying my doubt with RAM sticks configuration too. ?

Firstly, thanks for replying and suggestions as well as feedback. And, oh I didn't knew there was any website like this which could be used to build my PC. Also, a kind of stupid question to ask, do we really need a GPU if iGPU is not there for the system to even work properly ? And, may I know why did you recommend that I shouldn't opt for the x570 series, and instead opt for a x450 series one ?

Firstly, thanks for replying. And, I won't be installing a GPU at this very moment, but I'll for sure soon. Since, I've a separate budget for GPU, hence not including it in this budget. Also, even I was of the belief that a GTX 1660 would be great. So, if you do have any other recommendation for GPU then do let me know.

Build Type: ATX with no RGB, as he wants to keep it low profile. Before I list down the configuration planned by me, here is what he have in hand and hence would be used in the new configuration. Some of the parts would be upgraded or changed in near future. Input peripherals - Keyboard & Mouse A display monitor A speaker system A cabinet. So, after doing my research and watching various YouTube videos, the following is what I've planned for now, and your feedbacks and suggestions are welcomed for the same. Also, one important, I want to give him a system future proof, i.e., it should be good enough for 6-8 yrs. to come. CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 [ since this what most have recommended as the best value for money device though I would appreciate your reviews over Ryzen 5 3400G, and its performance with Ryzen 5 3600 ] Cooler: Stock since I won't be doing overclocking to it. Motherboard: I'm a bit confused about which one to choose. As of now I've decided to go with a AMD x570 chipset based motherboard since they've PCIe Gen 4 support, or with a x450 chipset since it would be cheaper. [ Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (for x570) || OR || MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX (for x450) ] Memory: I've in mind to use 16GB of DDR4-3200MHz RAM in 8x2 configuration (preferably) or 16x1. Storage: It would be a combination of HDD & SSD, with HDD for storage purpose and SSD for OS boot mainly. For HDD, I've decided to go with a Seagate Barracuda 2TB @ 7200RPM. For SSD, I'm undecided with which one to choose, a 2.5" SATA based or a M.2 based. But, a 500GB one should be more than enough for him. Video/Graphics Card: MSI GeForce 1660 Ventus Super 6GB. Power Supply: Cooler Master 650W, if that goes fine with the build. Hope I did provide y'all with sufficient details about my build.
