Hello I managed to get my 3800x to 4.5 ghz all cores at 1.376 volts. Is this good? My hottest temp is 92 degrees and it passes cinnebench r 20 each time with a high score of 5366. It is also on the stock wraith prism it came with I put new thermal paste on it and it has 3 intake fans and 3 exhaust fans. I have a gigabyte x570 12 phase digital power delivery board. I have an evga 600 watt 80 plus bronze psu. It stays at 34 to 45 degrees c on idle 2% usage.

An amd Radeon Carr. It’s pretty old. 1GB Dell VVYN4 AMD Radeon HD7470 DVI DP PCI-Express x16 Video Card

Also I got it to boot to free dos off usb no problem and it has no issues there. I don’t know if that is helpful.

Do you think it’s the old gpu?

My pc won’t install windows or Linux. As soon as I boot to the usb the blue windows logo appears with a black background, and for a fraction of a second i see the loading ring start to load then stop and it either reboots or blue screenes every time. The usb is correct and I tried it on a different pc before and it booted fine. I also tried putting in a drive that already has windows and it does the same thing. Can someone help. I have a 3800x a gigabyte x570 gaming x mobo an old Radeon card a Intel 600p 128 gig nvme ssd.

And now windows is freaking out like it’s addicted to crack like how us gamers are addicted to rgb.

I clicked the restart button and got a bsod somehow, and then it power cycled. Although for a brief second the windows screen had a loading ring (as you can see in the pictures. and then it blue screened, so it seems like it’s trying... Any suggestions? The blue screen says: system thread exception not handled. I have never installed windows on it before

Ok I recreated it and it came up to the windows screen where the background is black and the windows logo is blue. It then power cycled almost instantly and now it sitting on this

I’m at 60 percent download on the new usb stick. Does this look right?

Also if I take out my usb my pc posts and lets me into the bios just fine, it only happens when I use the usb. Do I have to disable safe boot? I don’t know how to I have just heard about it. I have no idea where in the bios safe boot is located if it even is.

I’ll remake the usb. Also what should an iso look like on Rufus I have a windows 10 file that it took forever to download on Rufus, it’s called: win10_2004_Englishinternational_x64.iso is that a legit iso?

If I did it wrong can you tell me step by step how to fix it? I suck at this type of thing

I did use Rufus and I think I did it right I also tried multiple different times on the stick

Hello! I just finished my pc build. My specs amd ryzen 7 3800x with a gigabyte x570 gaming x. It posted I was happy until I went to install windows i selected the usb Uefi as first priority also I have set usb to full initial and it tries to boot to the usb and power cycles when booting to usb. It goes the the gigabyte logo and I can see what looks like command line behind the logo and it says booting efi x64 and then shuts off. can someone help.

My question is (if that’s ok for me to say sorry for interrupting you) I would like to leave my pc on which requires a gpu to be installed will it hurt it to sit there on the failed post number and run all day? I do not have my gpu yet

As far as I’m aware mechanical drives are hot pluggable NOT HOT UNPLUGGABLE so if you can get into Windows then plug it in to power it might detect into windows but you should read up on the hot pluggable thing.

Did you try to unplug the new drive and let it boot?

Did you unplug the boot drives power and use it for the the power for the hdd? Sounds stupid but it happens

Are you running any over clocking?

I had to rma it it was broken. Got the same board back and tried it without the cpu and ram, low and behold! It displayed and error light. I put my dominator platinum in and my 3800x and it works fine.
