  1. I have a Dell XPS 15 9550 (2015) running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS which is not booting into Ubuntu. I think there is some physical problem with the SSD: it doesn't show up in the BIOS and fsck doesn't seem to be able to find it. All other hardware up correctly and the BIOS diagnostics does not report any errors. I would like to replace the SSD, but I know next to nothing about computer hardware. Is it as simple as buying an SSD that fits in the slot and reinstalling Ubuntu as normal? In particular: Will all drives that fit in the slot be compatible? If not, how do I go about finding which ones will work? Is installing the new SSD as simple as pulling the old one out and plugging the new one in, or is there more to it than that? Is there anything I might not know about that I should be aware of? Thanks in advance for your help!
