  1. Yeah, I really think is a short. But is very weird, because I didn´t have any problem at all in the whole week I had it mounted. I will buy the washers just for caution. For the record: I put all the screws for mounting the mobo. I was putting 4, now I put like 7 or 8. So every part of the mobo is screwed. Now, I am still getting the blinking line with the black screen for just 2 seconds before getting to the tuf gaming screen where I can go to bios (that´s called post screen, right?). I saw that is a thing with the bootable drive, right? Do I need to be concerned about that blinking line? Or just leave it? I had it on like for 3 hours and no problem. I did some restarts to see if I had problems, but the blinking line only appeared like 2 times (I restarted it like 5-6 times). Now, I saw in other forums that there could be a conflict with the boot order, because I saw in the bios that my boot device is duplicated, one with windows boot manager and the nameof the ssd and the other with just the name of the ssd.
  2. So I just took out everything and plug it outside. Everything is working properly. BUT, for the first time, there were 2 reboots at the same time after getting to a post screen (the megatrends screen). Very weird, tbh. For the record, I forgot to plug the gpu the first time and I turn it on, and nothing happened. I saw my error and hard shutdown, then plug the gpu to power and then the 2 reboots start (for the record: my gpu was pluged in before this when it was in the case, so the only noob error was during the trials outside the case). After the 2 reboots a underscore appear for like 10 seconds and then the american megatrends screen with some text (I annex the photo down below). I went to BIOS and exit, and everything worked well. This time no underscore and it opened windows in a blink of a eye. What do you guys think it is? This guide says it could be a short: https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq/no-post-system-wont-boot-and-no-video-output-troubleshooting-checklist.1575220/
  3. Just found this other post, sound pretty similar, the difference is I didn´t update BIOS. https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/new-build-intel-mobo-dx79sr-couldnt-post-now-dead.1338842/
  4. hahaha no dumb question (its a noob problem), dont worry. I am pluging it to the gpu. Like I said before, first I got a black screen with a underscore blinking for a long time (like 2 minutes), then I hard shutdown and then the pc is dead (no video output, so no underscore, and peripherals are not on). Thanks a lot for your patience and response. I will try different things when I get back from work. I will go buy a CMOS battery to see if that is the problem, as someone in a forum had a similar problem and that solved the issue (the difference between my case and the CMOS solution was that they didn't have first an underscore and then no output video). Another thing is...I found this tread: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/no-signal-on-monitor-after-cmos-reset.3254040/ I don't hear any beeps from the buzzer, how do I check that?
  5. Ok so I checked the bootable usb version and if I am not wrong, its build 1903 (annex photo). Also, how Iam suppose to boot my pc if I can't see the bios screen? Link to wikipedia win builds: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10_version_history Sorry the cmd is in spanish.
  6. But the issue is that I don't even see the TUF gaming logo screen for entering BIOS... hahaha
  7. Mhmm, I don't know. I have the bootable usb. Can I change that within the files of the usb? I did some windows updates when it first started. No problemas at all, until this.
  8. Thanks! I will try this as soon I get back from work!
  9. Thanks a lot for the quick response. I will try to do it a soon I get back from work.
  10. Thanks for replying! Not videoutput! Monitor doesnt recognizes it. Fans and rgb are on like always.
  11. Hello! First time poster. Long time reader. So I just finish my first build (like 1 week ago). Everything was smooth. No problems at all (At least I think so). So today I push my power buttom and... nothing. Just the leds, fans and rgb. But my peripherals were working and a underscore appear. That underscore appeared since the first time I plug my pc a week ago, but never freezed, like this time. This time it took longer and I did a hard shutdown. Buuuut now... no signal and no peripherals when I press the on/off. Fans and rgb are on. No Power flickering. Cleared CMOS... nothing. CMOS battery removal. Nothing. 30 seconds pressing the on/off... nothing. Plug it in another outlet, nothing. What do you think it could be? I read that some people say that is power shortage... well, my plugs are ok. Could be the PSU, but how I could try to find out that? Some other forums say it could be the CMOS battery (this is my bet because the only problem with my build was that my time never was updated, neither when i force it up... correct me if I am wrong, but a problem in the battery could cause that, no? ). The other is the mobo... I am 99% sure that the mb has a led indicator that blinks when is turned on (the other 1% is for a misunderstaning of the light coming from another part). Well, in any case, there is no more blinking green light or any other color. I dont find any post that has the same two problems at the same time: underscore black screen and then no output signal. Hope all this symptoms help you and me to solve this issue. Thanks!
