  1. Thank you @Jurrunio for your response ...some I understand for some I had to look-up to orient myself. You seem to know your stuff. CPU: Given, I already have a new 2920x (unless I can trade this in), I thought I'll get started w/ this one and eventually upgrade to 3960x, 3970x, 3990x or whatever the current one is/will be in future. MOBO: X399 | X570 | TXR40 ...with so many manufactures how do i pick the right one that can do the job for today and into the future? If I went with a PCIe 4.0 MOBO (to future proof my build) will a PCI3 3.0 CPU work? Who is your favourite manufacturer? ASRock | ASUS | Gigabyte | MSI | did I miss anyone else? I like the look of the new EATX form-factor, but realise it requires a bigger case, etc. etc. I want to house both my GPUs and the workload needs multi-threading, hence the guidance to go with a Threadripper. Purpose: This new build is to run a validator node and support a Web3 decentralised network as it starts hitting the mainstream audience. Research: https://www.amd.com/en/products/specifications/processors/7746,7696,2571,2586,2601,2611,3376,9221,2481,11776,1736,1896,2466,176,146,116 Compare: 2920x 3960x, 3970x, 3990x https://www.amd.com/en/products/specifications/compare/processors/7941,8946,8941,9111
  2. Does anyone know if PCPartPicker ships to Australia? I like how they making picking parts for a build, and sharing it w/ others for review such a breeze.
  3. I love the youtube channel and have been watching it for quite a while now. I am new here and this is my 1st post. I want to build something like the recent build posted Can AMD beat the ultimate Intel PC, but never worked w/ liquid cooling, and tube bending, so not sure where/how to get started. I want to build using AMD Threadripper -- any good suggestions for MOBO? Getting mixed up w/ which MOBO chipset to pick, that is compatible w/ the Threadripper I have, and also gives me an option for future upgrade options. Honestly I am finding it really difficult to keep up w/ the AMD CPU generation and numbering schemes and how one generation is better than the other. How do you guys keep up? I have the following components: - CPU: AMD Threadripper 2920x 12 core - OS Drive: Samsung 860 Evo 4TB - Accounts Drive: Samsung 970 Pro 1TB - GPUs: 2 x Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti I need the following components: - CPU Cooling: ? (Air or Water ) - GPU Cooling: ? - - Motherboard: ? (Asus Rog b450m | Asrock x399 | Aorus) - RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200 - Power supply: EVGA 1600W | other suggestions - Casing: ? PS: I am writing this post from Australia, so some of the products might not be available here and in some cases they are really expensive. Sidebar: @samcool55 thanks for suggesting me to create a new post
  4. 100% Have similar price issues here in Australia -- they are so crazy. @samcool55 Thanks for sharing the link of the pre-build, looks pretty cool w/ all that cooling. I want to build something like that, but never worked w/ liquid cooling, and tube bending, so not sure where/how to get started.
