    Just got a Philips 499P9, and here's how to use 5120x1440 (very easy): Use 2 monitor cables from your Mac; in my case, on a Mac Pro, I use an HDMI and a Thunderbolt 2 > DisplayPort. With a new iMac, simply use Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort cable.
