  1. @PDifolco No, in the manual of the carbon wi-fi it states.... * PCI_E1, M2_2 & M2_3 share the bandwidth. PCI_E1 will run at x8 speed when installing devices in M2_2 or M2_3 slots
  2. @Fasauceome tyvm for the info, as i really like the board, its cheap and has all the features i need for myself, plus it will support the next gen amd's
  3. @mariushm card is Asus Rog Strix 3080 OC
  4. I'm looking to buy the MSI MPG 650 CARBON WI-FI for a future build to pair with the 7800X3D, but the PCI_E1, M2_2 & M2_3 share the bandwidth.. PCI_E1 will run at x8 speed when installing devices in M2_2 or M2_3 slots......Which I may in future if I need to add extra M.2 SSD. Will there be a substantial loss on the GPU performance from X16 speed to x8.
  5. Thanks all for the reply. Yeah i just wanted to make sure as i will be putting it on this Mb. Seeing as it has as pathway for me to upgrade later to a 13th Gen Gigabyte B760 GAMING X AX DDR4 Motherboard
  6. Will the Be Quiet! Pure Loop 2 240mm be sufficient to cool my i5 12400. I'm just interested in buying it as i would like to keep to the theme with my Be Quiet! Pure Base 500 case
  7. @typographie @skiiwee29 cool thanx for the info. So it should be ok to leave PBO disabled then, it still max boost to 4.6 regardless.
  8. Lately when playing RDR2 on 1440p medium settings, my temps have gone up to 70c max load, it used to stick around 58c-63c ( with Standard Fan option on) Is 70c still within normal range? I just don't understand as why all of a sudden it has risen. I have even disabled PBO hoping it would come back down to what it used to be. 9. Hi, I just recently purchased a 2nd Monitor for my set up and i'm seeng tremondous FPS drops while gaming on my Main Monitor. Before 2nd Monitor i am able to reach at average 170 FPS and at times has reached up to 200 FPS, now with 2nd Monitor connected, it has drops to only around 70 - 100 FPS. Main Monitor : 27" ASUS ROG STRIX XG279Q 2nd Monitor : 24.5" ASUS VG258Q GPU : Gigabyte 3070 8g OC CPU : Ryzen 5 5600X MOBO : Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming
  10. Need Assistance I just purchased the ASUS ATX TUF GT301 case along with the Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming mobo and through the Aura Sync i can see that the Rgb Headers are in sync, but i am unable to change colours? At first i was able to change the colours of the fans through Aura Sync in Armoury Crate but then it just stop functioning but everything else i'm still able to change colours like the Ram and my Asus Rog XG279Q monitor. Thanx M.M
  11. I just purchased a 2080ti and i was wandering can i only use a Gsync monitor for maximum performance ( ie : also to reduce the screen tearing/ghosting ) or am i able to use the freesync monitors aswell?
  12. For my build i'm interested in buying the ASUS ROG STRIX 2060 SUPER to go with my i7-9700K, but there are 2 variants : ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 Super OC 8GB ($799 AUD ) : OC Mode - GPU Boost Clock : 1860 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1500 MHzGaming Mode (Default) - GPU Boost Clock : 1830 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1470 MHz ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 Super Advanced 8GB ($699 AUD ) : OC Mode - GPU Boost Clock : 1710 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1500 MHzGaming Mode (Default) - GPU Boost Clock : 1680 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1470 MHz Which one would be best for gaming, i am only buying the 2060 now as it is good value and i could save the extra $1200 AUD instead of the 2080ti ($2000 AUD ) and put that towards saving for the 3000 series coming up!
  13. Thanks all for the advise, going from the recommendations here and few articles from the net, its best to go neutral or slight negative pressure then : Intake from the front then letting TOP & REAR push out.
  14. I purchased a Cooler Master MC H500P Mesh for my build since it has good reviews for being one of the best airflow cases. Since it has the 2x140mm fans at the front, i'll be installing my AIO radiator at the top 2 x 120mm, with a single rear fan 120mm. Would it be best to let the FRONT and TOP fans pull air IN then let the REAR fan push the air OUT? or FRONT and REAR fans pull air in then let the TOP fans push air OUT?(since hot air rises) if there are other better solutions i'd be happy to take them on.
  15. Yeah i know dude? I already bought the asus rog strix 2080ti, but what i'm saying is , if you understood the point i was saying is that even if something happens to the GPU, you can still use the IG to do things until you get a new GPU? With AMD then you can't use the pc at all until you get the new GPU !! It's just friggin pathetic on their part (AMD) not putting IG in their cpu's. I don't care if you can just buy a Pci-video card.
  16. not my point buddy? amd can make a cpu with 12 cores and 24 threads yet they can't implement a IG lolzz pathetic. friggin pathetic?
  17. Well at least with intel you can still use the IG for anything eg browsing, productivity and still even play games until you buy a new GPU. That's a real shame AMD hasn't implemented that with their Ryzen 7 & 9. Once gpu is has gone you can't do anything until you buy a new one. Lucky i found this out before buying my wife a Ryzen 9 as she would need it for heavy productivity.
  18. Then that's a shame as the Ryzen 7 & 9 doesn't have IG....there's no reason to buy AMD then!! What happens if something happens to your dedicated GPU, how can you troubleshoot if you can't access bios screen?
  19. Does any of the Ryzen's have integrated graphics : I've been searching the net for info but all i can find is that the only AMD Cpu's to have it are the : AMD RYZEN 5 2400G & AMD RYZEN 3 2200G unlike the intel series it's easy to know with the letter suffix at the end E.G (F)
  20. ok thanks everyone for the advice.
  21. So would be better for me to drop the 970 EVO to 500G and buy the Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD for games and secondary?
  22. Hi, I will be doing my very 1st build and i will be using the Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD 1TB for the OS and games. Am i able to use a 2.5 SATA SDD ( Team T-Force Delta MAX ARGB SSD 1TB ) for the coolness of it as a secondary or do i need to use the regular 3.5 HDD. And also what does this mean as it came up on my PCPARTPICKER : Note:The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled The motherboard i chose is : ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming Motherboard
  23. These are the other parts i chose as i'm building an ROG RIG. My budget is around or thereabouts $4000 Australian Dollars. InWin 309 A-RGB Tempered Glass Case : $309 Asus ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming Motherboard : $359.30 ASUS ROG Ryujin 240 OLED AIO CPU Cooler : $299 ASUS ROG Strix 80 Plus Gold 750W ATX Power Supply : $ 233.78 G.Skill Trident Z Neo Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin RGB PC4-28800 DDR4 3600MHz : $180.98 Samsung 970 Evo Plus Nvme SSD 500GB : $179 Samsung 860 QVO 2.5in SATA SSD 1TB : $169 ASUS ROG XG32VQ QHD 144Hz FreeSync 32in Monitor $ 749 CPU/GPU as stated as before will be either the COMBO 1 OR 2 that i posted
  24. It will be mostly for gaming like : MMORPG's , FPS, etc etc, i just wanna be able to play games with at least 1440p up to 144hrz?
  25. Hi, I'm trying to budget on 2 certain components for my build of around $1600 AUD, which of the 2 would give me the best performance Combo 1 : Intel Core i7 9700K / ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, 8GB = $1518 Combo 2 : Intel Core i9 9900K / ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 Super OC 8GB = $1628
