  1. Awesome good to know guys ya'll are the best. Thanks for all the help on this project. It went smoother than i expected. the help and advice was nice to have along the journey.
  2. yeah ... i had sortof forgotten about those... i figured it out tho thanks. i did a good job of making a fool of myself.
  3. Ok so i should say to start with everything seems to be working fine for now. The concern is that the Asus prime x570-p has a 8-pin and a 4-pin 12v cpu power plug/port. my PSU is the cm650x which only comes with a single 8-pin. there are two modular 8-pin 12v ports on the PSU. However, i am using both of these to run power to my 2070 super. the concern/question is this something I should fix in the next week or can it wait for a few month? like i said at the start everything is running great and stable. no temp or voltage issues my 3800x is running solid at 4.2 GHz. I've left the 2070 super at out of box because, I know nothing about overclocking GPU's.
  4. so um what did i do wrong 3800x comes stock with the wraith prism and i only see one connection have i lost my mind? what have i missed?
  5. I feel like i'm missing something i just got a 3800x which comes with a wraith prism cooler but i only have a fan header and the software naturally just tells me to connect me Cololer Master device...

  9. Hey i just saw that Microcenter has a huge sale on 3600 CL19 it's actually cheaper than the CL16 by like 2 dollars jump on that?
  10. I do kind of want to go x570 in case i upgrade later. the prime p is actually cheaper. so that sounds good. always used to build on MSI motherboards so that was kinda and old habbits thing. so thanks for the tips guys i think i have it figured out i'll let you know how is goes and what i decide to go with. Still got 3 hours before Microsenter opens so later today maybe. tomorrow we will see.
  11. Hey guys, So as the title says it's been a while since i built a PC. I have a 1500 budget apx. At first i thought EVGA 2070 Super and to hit my budget i was going with 32 GB of memory. i did a little more research on AMD found the Red Devil RX 5700 XT which lowered my cost a ton allowing me to up my RAM to 64GB. I do plan to game on this some but mostly i'm going to be streaming my from this playing on my xbox. is this a good trad off i know on synthetics the 2070 super tends to be about 1200 higher on score. and I've whats gaming performance side by side reviews and the different seems to be like 10 FPS max. after years of playing at 30FPS i doubt i'll be able to tell the difference. i'm just going to be in awe at the 1440p over the 1080 i've been playing on lol. Of course when i last built a PC memory was everything. i'm aware that is not the case now i've kept up on tech even tho i haven' own anything for a while. for reference the rest of my parts list is below. MSi x570 MPG AMD Ryzen 7 3700x G.Skill ripjaws 3200 either 4 x 8GB or 4 x 16GB 1TB NVMe 3.0 (Crucial) seagate bara. 2TB Either PowerSpec 650 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular or EVGA 650BQ (which ever someone at MicroCenter points me to) EVGE RTX 2070 Super or Red Devil RX5700 XT Lian Li 205 for the case total with RX5700 XT $1511.51 total with 2070 Super $1514.84
  12. Hey guys, I've been playing on the Xbox one X for a while now. My current display is a vizio 1080p 3D (lol) Wal-Mart special tv from over 10 years ago(I believe 12 years ago). Needless to say it is way past time to upgrade. I'm hoping to not break the bank on this. So I'm thinking 1440p is the way to go. Something I can get a great clear good looking gaming experience with. I sit at a desk when I game so smaller is just fine. I would like to be able to use some of the features this hardware has, but mostly i'm looking forward to the end of the year and sitting on this tv with the capabilities the Series X will bring would just be silly. I mean lets be honest not having upgraded up to this point is well a sad thing. I mean my tablet my school sent me to use for classes has a better panel than this tv. So any insight would be amazing. Thanks guys.
