  1. Bit of an update. I put the GPU in my friends machine and it worked fine the problem wasn't present. I decided to try out a old RX 580 I had lying around and I noticed that the problem had stopped. So I put my 3070 back in... Problem is back. I am now more confused than I was before. If anyone has an idea please tell me. Im going to use the RX580 for now so at least I can have some sort of playability. Is it possible that the power supply could be the problem since the RX 580 uses considerably less power? I have a new GPU coming in on June 1st if the problem is still present on that I will look at replacing the power supply. Solution: Replacing the GPU Fixed it
  2. I just checked that today its not running at 100% during frame drops. It's between 0% and 1% while playing. My friend was able to see what i'm experiencing on a discord stream so I have taken a video and posted it here. Its low quality and hard for me to tell since I have the issue all the time but if it worked properly you should be able to see a stutter every other second or so. Let me know what other info you may need.
  3. I don't run anything on a hard drive. I have 2 HDDs in my system they are both used for storage of games I don't play all the time I move them back to my SSD if I want to play them.
  4. This started around 2 days ago. There hasn't been any storms in the last week. However a few weeks ago there was a couple of large storms that caused a few moments where a I lost power for a couple of seconds. Also here is my UserBenchmark score if that helps anybody. UserBenchmarks: Game 155%, Desk 101%, Work 147% CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X - 106.1% GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 - 147.1% SSD: CT1000BX500SSD1 1TB - 79% SSD: Team T253A3001T 1TB - 86.3% HDD: WD Blue 1TB (2012) - 83.4% HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB - 113.8% RAM: Unknown CL18-20-20 D4-3600 4x8GB - 100.5% MBD: Asrock B450 Steel Legend
  5. Is the backplate installed properly? - it could be causing a short in the board if not.
  6. I work on chromebooks and with the chrome browser everyday. It might sound crazy but this fixes a lot of strange issue like this. Reset the browser settings. Here is a guide for you. Let me know if this works.
  7. What is your motherboard? I know on ASUS motherboards Code 00 means there is a problem with the cpu. I would try resetting the BIOS with by either jumping the pins or pressing the button (depending on the motherboard). If that doesn't work take the CMOS battery out for a few minutes - put it back in and try again.
  8. This problem has started very recently. I have noticed my frames in every game and even out of games that pretty much every other second it will "skip" a frame. In games I can see my fps count drop 10-20 fps. Im coming here because I'm at my wits end I've narrowed it down to Memory, GPU or PSU. Some Things I have Done: Reseat GPU - Nothing Reseat Cables at PSU - Nothing Windows Memory Diagnostic - Nothing OCCT VRAM Test - No Errors Detected... Updated Graphics Driver - Nothing I have monitored temps and usage in HWInfo while playing and nothing is overheating or looks out of the norm. If you have any ideas' please let me know - I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a new GPU since I've wanted an upgrade anyway. Edit - Just purchased a new gpu - going to try my gpu in my friends pc to try and narrow down the problem so more I will update when I do SPECS: Ryzen 7 5700x EVGA XC3 3070 750 Corsair PSU 3600 MHZ DDR4 8x4
  9. So I was looking at the 19-10900K Processors and multiple sights have this cpu listed at around $600 dollars but Newegg and Amazon were both outliers in the price. For example Best Buy sells this cpu for 530 US Dollars but Amazon sells it for 830 and newegg sells at 860
  10. I've compared the speeds of my satellite internet to the speeds from my phone tethered to my pc. (LTE is the faster one). The Down and Up speeds arent my concern they will be slow where I live regardless, the difference in ping is whats making me wonder if i should switch I know it really helps my experience gaming as almost all online games a pretty much unplayable at 600 ping. The only other thing im concerned about is streaming.
  11. I live in a rural area and the only options I have for internet are satellite. However I found the Netgear Nighthawk M1 Mobile Hotspot 4G LTE Router. I was wonder if anyone has ever heard of this before and wanted to share their experience with it. Im looking at a unlocked version of the device and am probably going to use it with cricket wireless daughter company to AT&T. 12. How big of performance increase would a three fan design have over a two fan design. For example the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER vs. something like the ASUS GeForce RTX 2070 Super.
