  1. Thanks for the replies. I'm wanting to go all SSD on this build, I'm finding on my current system I'm wanting every game on the SSD. I put 2x M2 drives in mainly because the board has two slots, and I figured these would be better than a 2.5" SSD. I'll take a look at the Air cooler, I assumed I would need water cooling for a 9900k. Unsure if I want the water cooler for a cleaner look though. I think I'll lower it to 16gb ram, and then just upgrade in future if its ever needed.
  2. Long time youtube viewer thought i'd join the forum to see if i could get some advice on my first build (last machine is a pre-built one). I've got a budget of £3k for my build. I will only be gaming, 1440p 144fps, AAA games and new releases. I've created a build myself on PC part picker and would like some advice. PCPartPicker Part List CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor (£459.98 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Fractal Design Celsius S24 87.6 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (£91.49 @ Scan.co.uk) Motherboard: Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO (WI-FI) ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£272.99 @ AWD-IT) Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory (£95.27 @ CCL Computers) Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory (£95.27 @ CCL Computers) Storage: Intel 660p Series 2.048 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£214.76 @ Technextday) Storage: Intel 660p Series 2.048 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£214.76 @ Technextday) Video Card: MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card (£1099.98 @ Box Limited) Case: Corsair Crystal 570X RGB ATX Mid Tower Case (£150.00 @ Amazon UK) Power Supply: Corsair RMx (2018) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (£112.80 @ CCL Computers) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit Total: £2807.30 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-02-17 18:42 GMT+0000 Parts Reasoning: CPU: I know I've gone with a totally OP CPU for my needs, but I'm set on the 2080ti, and thought for the price difference on the whole rig, I may as well max this out (I previously had a 9700k in as the CPU). The Ryzen 3900X also took my interest as I thought this would future-proof me more with the cores/threads etc. GPU: 2080ti, I'm set on this due to my budget and I only game. The things I don't know much about at all really are the CPU Cooler, Ram Speed, Power Supply for this build. I did have 16GB ram in, but upped this for future proof and aesthetics. I'm hoping that for the next 10 years, I will only have to think about the GPU and storage to upgrade, similar to what I've done on my current pc. In my current PC I've only upgraded the GPU and storage since I bought it, i7-3770, 1070ti, 8gb RAM (2333mhz), 256gb SDD, 4TB HDD. Thanks for any help on this! Once I've settled on the parts, I'm looking to build this in the next month or 2, so will post some pics of the finished product.
