  1. Budget (including currency): £100-150 Country: England Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: cyberpunk, Lol, Ark /Ark 2, and anno Other details: current build is; 3070ti, ryzen 1500x, 750w psu, Msi B350M Gaming Pro, ddr4 16gb 3200 ram. I am running a 3140*1440 165hz monitor but I'm not sure if that's relevant when picking a cpu. I would like a Cpu that will not require new ram or a new mobo. Thanks :)
  2. its just a regular game of civ 5
  3. Just to clarify, when this happens my monitor actually goes to stanby and its not like a windows blackscreen. I don't have any funny audio sounds and there is no lead up it just happens and I have turn off my PC
  4. I was playing Civ5 this time (althought it happens when I'm doing nothing too) and have HWinfo running and have the log for it but I have no idea how to read it. If anyone could tell me if something looks off I would be thankful logs of pc.CSV
  5. Hi I'm looking to buy a new gpu for around the £300 mark. So far I have my eyes on either a RTX 2080 or RTX 3060ti. I might consider going for a 3070 or 2080ti if you guys think its worth it but i would like to stay closer to £300 instead of £400, A little bit of info on what I'm looking for, I've been using a 1050ti for the last 5 years and I intend to use this next card for 3-5 years aswell (hopefully alot more playably). The games I play are satisfactory, 7 days to die, ark and other similar open world survival games. I'm open to suggestions on AMDs side aswell but I am interested in using ray tracing for when I play minecraft or other less demanding games like that. Also would be helpful if you could tell me a good version of the card to buy like msi gaming x just to name one off the top of my head. Thanks
  6. I made a post about this before but have found some new results. I'm currently running an LG 29inch ultrawide through display port and a cheapo Asus VSG something from years ago through DVI plugged into my 1050ti. The issue im having is both monitors work fine when only displaying one at a time but when they are both on my DVI monitor will work for a few seconds then go black saying no signal. Sometiems it will turn on again and other times I have to unplug it and plug it back in. It seems that selecting only my DVI monitor to display then displaying both fixes the issue until I turn off my pc then it persists until I do the same thing. I have no clue what is causing is, do you hsve any ideas?
  7. Oh wow i was unaware they sold the mesh front on its own and for only 20. Thank you!
  8. Hi guys I have a phantek p400 (with the metal front panel not mesh) currently set up with 1 rear exhaust fan and two front intakes. The issue im having is that the case is not very good for trying to take in air from the front since the panel is very restrictive. The case comes with some mesh magenetic top cover things for a radiator and I was considering mounting one or two of my intake fans up there instead as it would pull in alot more air. My question about this set up is if there are any downsides to having this configuration that would overwrite the positives or am I just over thinking it? Im using an amd wraith stealth cooler(1500x cpu), and a twin fan msi gaming x card (1050ti) if that has any impact.
  9. Just realised I put this in the wrong area and I don't know how to delete it
  10. When I switched from BT to EE my ping in League of Legends Euw went from 20ms to 40ms even though I did not move locations. I accepted this and moved on assuming it was just my Internet being worse since it is cheaper (although it's the same Mbps). Though recently I've been having occasional games where my ping was stable at 20ms again for one game then back to 40ms again and it's gotten my hopes up that I can achieve that 20ms again. My question is if there is actually anything I can do to get that 20ms consistently again or am I just coinflipping everytime? I am on Windows 10, I'm not sure any of my pc specs are relevant here
  11. Title says it all, any good gpu's for around £30-35 with a 6pin connector. So far I've found a R7 260 and a R9 270 but I want to see what others can find before i make the buy. :)
  12. Yeah I figured that out just now. Apparently only 30w ish gets pulled from the motherboard instead of 75w so I can only use around 100w total instead of the 150w I figured I had. So I guess that's the limiting factor here.
  13. Hey guys, I have a MSI 1050ti 4GB gaming oc card and I have it running at 1950Mhz and 4100Mhz memory. The dilemma I have is when I raised the voltage slider on Afterburner to the max, it didn't allow me to raise the core clock any higher than before despite never going over 55c under full load. I'm not exactly expecting to get a solution but rather an explanation as to why they won't go higher if voltage and temps aren't the issue since I don't know too much about overclocking
