Perhaps your parents see the type of person you're becoming and realize that they shouldn't reward you for it.  Perhaps it's because they work full time and couldn't raise you properly.  You need to step back and take a look at yourself and realize you're only handicapping yourself for what challenges you'll find as an adult.  And even if your parents make enough money to buy replacements for things you break the fact that you have so little respect for them that you'd break something because you think you deserve something better is extremely bratty.

Why do these posts keep coming up... Is this really the way children think nowadays?  If I break it my parents will have to buy me something new and better.

no, its completely reasonable to move a desktop around a bunch, just means no HDD, likely AIO for less motherboard stress and make sure the GPU is supported well.

I've moved my mATX box weekly at some points. If moving is in the plan just go ITX

Laptops even the best one for gaming now will last 2-3 years. its about the same as a PC but you can't change out many if any parts.

I'd go B route. I had a laptop I used for everything then moved to a desktop with a laptop and it is so much nicer.

700-800$ PC would be easy as for laptop to pair. lenovo carbon x1 gen 3, hp probook 440 g4/g5 or 450 g4/g5
(the x1 has fixed ram so get 8 or 16gb as you can't change it, the HP do have memory slots so ram upgrade is easy.)
also do yourself a favor and get a 1080P or better screen.

Well, first of all, you shouldnt trust any 3rd party driver updater, they are most likely shit. Aswell as the Device Manager. You cant really update the drivers only with the Device Manager. Best thing is to just go to the manufacturers website and search for any component to download the newest driver.
