    In my experience the longest lasting laptops are either Apple or something enterprise level, like a Thinkpad.  My ex-wife is still daily driving my old 2012 MacBook Air and I have a 2011 Thinkpad X220 that I use on the couch almost every day.  The nicest thing about ThinkPads is that they are still one of the most repairable laptops on the market with easily replaceable batteries (usually the first thing to go).

    +1 for the Samson, and right now they're cheaper than their sister mic, the AT ATR2100 right now (although the Audio Technica does come with a lifetime warranty).
