  1. Today I saw a post which mentioned that Tesla has announced a car for India Link: https://gaadiwaadi.com/tesla-model-i-bookings-open-in-india-at-rs-19-9-lakh-offers-976-km-range/ This is the most affordable Tesla in their entire lineup. When you see the range given on a single charge, I doubt that it comes with all the features that are offered in rest of the line up. Especially, Auto pilot and Dog mode. What do you think about it.
  2. Tesla will be coming to India in 2021. But I can say that their is a potential competitor in the pre-production stage in India. The car that I am speaking about "Extinction MK1". This is a product of the Bangalore-based company called Pravaig Dyanmics. There are few production Electric cars in India. But, this car looks promising to me.

  4. Transforming NOKIA: The Power of Paranoid Optimism to Lead Through Colossal Change by Risto Siilasmaa (goodreads.com) This is also a good book. Author was one of the board of directors when Nokia was in steep decline. This book will have all the insights of what transpired in Nokia. Once the Phone business was sold off, the Author Risto Siilasmaa was the interim CEO before the current CEO took charge.
  5. I am not trying to reach any of the staff members. Just wanted to know the opinions and thoughts of the people about this. Thank you.
  6. I frequently watch a news channel postings on youtube. the channel is called "Wion". There is a segment of the news called " Gravitas Plus" where every week they present a topic. this week there was an interesting topic called "Will Apple be the Next Nokia?" Here is the link for that video: Gravitas Plus: Will Apple be the Next Nokia? - YouTube Here is the synopsis of the video with the reference links: 1. Apple is more dependent on sales from emerging markets and speaks about collapse of sales in china (Apple's largest phone market) ref: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jeanbaptiste/2019/01/03/apple-issues-profit-warning-cuts-revenue-outlook-by-17-billion-amid-pricey-iphone-sales-drop/?sh=5b5f5af1267e 2. Tim Cook in the letter to investors: People Bought Fewer New iPhones Because They Repaired Their Old Ones So this is leading to their sales revenue down Ref: https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2019/01/letter-from-tim-cook-to-apple-investors/ 3. Goldman Sachs thinks that Apple could be the next Nokia Ref: https://www.cnbc.com/2019/01/03/goldman-sachs-says-apple-will-have-to-cut-2019-numbers.html 4. Spending on innovation is lower than any other tech Giants 5. iPhone total revenue decline YoY Ref: https://www.statista.com/statistics/253649/iphone-revenue-as-share-of-apples-total-revenue/ 6. Apple Inc. warned investors that the company’s financial results would be hurt if the amount paid from App Store downloads and subscriptions is reduced or eliminated. 7. I think it depends on the Thunderbolt PCIE Add-on card you are using. Also watch this video where linus has explained about it :
  8. Important to notice that just as with Intel mobos, there are two types of TB3 implementation on mobos: One is with TB3 port(s) on the motherboard's i/o backplate and the other is with a TB3 header on the mobo. The last one needs an additional AIC TB3 pci-e card to provide functional TB3 connections. All mobo brands have such a card and they go for about 60-100$ depending on the brand. So first i will list the X570 boards with onboard TB3 or TB3 header: ASRock Aqua (2 Type-C thunderbolt ports on the rear I/O panel) ASRock Creator ASRock Phantom Gaming ITX/TB3 ASRock TaiChi (with TB3 header, needs additional TB3 card) ASRock Extreme 4 and Extreme 4 WiFi (with TB3 header, needs additional TB3 card) ASRock Steel Legend and Steel Legend WiFi (with TB3 header, needs additional TB3 card) ASRock Phantom Gaming X (with TB3 header, needs additional TB3 card) (All ASRock mobos with TB3 header need the Thunderbolt 3 AIC R2.0 to provide TB3 connectivity: https://www.asrock.com/mb/spec/product.asp?Model=Thunderbolt 3 AIC R2.0 ) Gigabyte Aorus Extreme (with TB3 header, needs additional TB3 card) Gigabyte Aorus Master (with TB3 header, needs additional TB3 card) Gigabyte Aorus Ultra (with TB3 header, needs additional TB3 card) Gigabyte Aorus Pro and Aorus Pro WiFi (with TB3 header, needs additional TB3 card) Oddly enough, Asus and MSI don't have any X570 boards with Thunderbolt 3. New B550 Motherboards: Gigabyte Vision D (Rev 1.0) (2 Type-C thunderbolt ports on the rear I/O panel) For the new AMD Threadripper 3 on the TRX40 chipset there are only two boards atm. The Gigabyte TRX40 Aorus Extreme and the Gigabyte TRX40 Designare. Although officially they don't mention Thunderbolt anywhere (because those boards were built and released before Intel "sanctioned" TB3 for AMD), they do have a TB3 header and the Designare also comes with the additional Titan Ridge GC card needed to provide Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. Other than the motherboard that I have mentioned if there is any new motherboards that are compatible with thunderbolt technology, please let me know. I will keep this thread updated
  9. This Flaw could defeat encryption and DRM protections. However, this is not true for latest 10 Gen processors as it is not vulnerable to Intel's CSME ( Converged Security Management Engine). I recommend to read this article : https://www.theverge.com/2020/3/6/21167782/intel-processor-flaw-root-of-trust-csme-security-vulnerability
