  1. Hello. I’m looking for feedback and recommendations on a build I am planning. I would like to stay in the $1200 USD range. I need a rig that is capable of gaming, streaming and video editing. I am a YT content creator for a mobile game. I primarily game on my iPad, but plan on expanding to PC games. So having a single PC that I can game and stream on would be ideal. My current set up is just not sufficient for my needs. I have been in the Apple ecosystem for several years now and my current computer is an iMac quad core i5 with a GeForce 670 GPU, 8GB Ram. I have already purchased an Elgato HD60 S+ as a capture card, since I will need it to capture my iPad for OBS on a PC. I plan on initially just using a 1080p 75hz single monitor until I can pick up a better one to actually game on, and switch the 75hz monitor as a second monitor for OBS and chat. I do not plan to OC. Below is what I am thinking of building. I have built PCs in the past, but the last one I built was in 1998. Much has changed. So any advice is welcome. Ryzen 7 3700x - More cores to help with streaming and video editing. ASUS ROG Strix B450- Low cost, Ryzen 3000 ready, plenty of needed I/O G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB 3200- top speed for board, plan to expand to 32GB in the future MSI GeForce RTX 2070- same price as 2060 Super but slightly better, NVENC for streaming Intel 660p Series M.2 NVMe 512GB SSD- boot drive for windows and my editing software Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM 256MB Cache- for media and game storage EVGA BQ 600 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply- semi modular, meets the projected 365 watt need of components. I do not plan to do any OC.
  2. I use the Flydigi Apex controller and love it. I’m a mobile gamer, content creator and streamer and was looking into mobile game pads for a while. I did a ton of research before settling on the Apex. One key thing to be aware of when looking at mobile controllers is they are not all the same. Some require 3rd party add on apps that will get you banned in some games. Some require you to play different versions of the game by launching it from their own (not always legit) game launcher. a big thing to consider when looking at mobile gamepad controllers is how you will be using it and with what games. Now that iOS supports controllers natively now, there are a limited number of games that also support them. However, if you want a lot of control and to use a controller with any game, you will want one that has full button mapping. This is where most if the controllers will vary. The one I use, has an app that’s available on the App Store that lets you map any button, and it can get very in depth with custom macros and such. Anyhow, good luck in your search and hopefully you find something that works well for you.
