Corsair has proprietary RGB headers that will only work with a commander pro or lighting node pro. That's their intend. You will have to buy their stuff if you want to control the LL lighting.

If OP wants to save ~25.00, the Ryzen 3700X will do just as fine.
Both 3700X and 3800X use a single fully intact 8-core chiplet (8-cores / 16-threads), but the 3700X simply has a higher Base and Turbo clock.
    274.00 for the 3700X.

    My two...pence.

should be two 4 core chiplets, basically two 3300x's on one die. hoping we get a single chiplet 8 core with zen 3 though, thatd be pretty kickass

Depends how you look at it. The 3600 is about 10% faster then the 2700x in relative gaming performance, which doesn't sound like much, but the 9900k is only about 10% faster than the 3600, and people rave about its gaming performance. Most people's "I edit videos" work isn't really at the point where they'd want to sacrifice it over the gaming performance, especially if high refresh rates are coming into it. At least that's what I've found on this forum with it's audience.

if you don't wait for zen 3 you'll likely regret it, the possibility of 2000 fclk with 4.7 zen 3 will blow every current cpu out of the water. (one can dream). october 8th

the 2700x and 3600 are pretty close in a lot of games. the 3600 definitely has a bit of a lead there but the 2700x has better multicore processing iirc. if the 2700x is cheaper (saw some under 150 bucks used for a while there) then its a great deal

Don't buy now, we're so close to the launch of the new stuff.
If you're gaming, you want the 3000 series or better.
It's not like the 3600 can't video edit. It just does so a little bit slower, and I highly doubt you're doing it for a living, so it doesn't really matter.

I would wait for now. The next generation Ryzen stuff is going to be announced fairly soon. These upcoming chips are likely going to be even more competitive against intel's top of the line stuff than the current 3000 series.

I sell my computers fairly regularly and have used an 8700k, 9700k, and now a 3800x. The gaming difference between any of them has not been noticeable at all playing at 1440p and 1440p ultra wide.

XT isn't worth it, unless the price is virtually the same (which it probably won't be). They're just better binned, and clock a little higher as a result, but it's only like 200Mhz max. You might be able to get a stable 200Mhz OC on even a 3600. Even if not, you're unlikely to notice much of a difference, and certainly not one worth the usual $100 spread.

the 2700x should be cheaper and better for multithreaded workloads while keeping decent framerates in games. if theyre the same price or you can get a 3600 non x for cheaper then i'd go with the 3600 for the stronger memory controller. check some benchmarks and see what specs matter to you, theyll both be good for your use case

For gaming, the one you linked would do okay.

For editing videos, I'd at least be looking for one with an IPS panel really. No need to spend silly money, but i'd be looking at £350 - £450 for a good one.

Depends on what you want them for.
They are not good gaming displays and they are also not very color accurate. (usually)
But if you're just after a high pixel density for that extra bit of sharpness, then sure, there's nothing wrong with a cheap 4K display.

This is probably a lot better. It has an IPS display instead of that TN and looks much more modern:

I was using an Acer 4K GSync monitor until recently as I've moved to 1440p 165Hz.

From my experience with them, they're okay. Depends what you're using it for though. They won't be good enough for work where colour accuracy is super important, but for general use and gaming, they'll do fine, though for the price they won't be anything special.

If that is the monitor I have seen in real life, it makes sense it's this price; since it has got a pretty horrible TN panel (horrible in color and viewing angles).
But your mileage may vary; perhaps you do like its panel.
