  1. So had my cheapo used Enermax AIO pump scream death noises. I let my PC stay on 24/7 because it's used as a sever for stuff. Idk how long it had been doing it as I found it when I got home from work. Anyway rip that bish out and throw on my back up ITX CPU cooler and complain my case is too small for my big meaty claws and realize my RTX2080 is getting spicy playing a test of HLL. I'm running a 5800x so I expected to have 80 to 90c on my cpu because my big shuriken 3 cooler can only handle so much. But I also see my gpu is hitting 90+. OH NO (in the Jeremy Clarkson top gear way) So in my diagnosing, my gpu running through a phanteks 3.0 riser card powers up with the system but does not get auxiliary power from my Psu (an sfx 850w gold boi that I love) and I have verified that the cables and pcie are good with a back up gtx 1050 I have. Also ran 30min of games to verify power is being stable. The fans or rgb lighting on the Rtx2080 no longer work and the white status LEDs on the 6 pin & 8pin connectors on the card won't light up like it does verifying power on my 1050. It will boot up just fine and play games until it thermals and gets hot and just give 10fps since my case cooling is doing barely enough to stop it from turning off. I'm down to fix it including soldering but I would like some insight on if their are any known fixes first. I'm running on a spare gtx 1080 I have and my spicy small cooler for now but I wanna fix the rtx 2080 if I can.
  2. So my wifes grandparents live with us and are hard of hearing. They have the TV really loud at night in their bedroom the rest of the family and also them as well would love to figure out an audio solution to have speakers on their headboard without having to run cabling across the floor to their bed. Does anyone know of a cost effective solution that would work? As long as they can watch gold rush and their programs it does not need to be the highest of fidelity just a means to an end. Tldr headboard wireless TV speaker ideas plssss
