  1. Unfortunately I’m not able to lower my core clock for my cpu in intel extreme tuning but I am able to make the professor power management max at 75% on power which looks ok so far but I’m hoping the thermal paste replacement will help
  2. hello guys, this is my first time on this forum and I didn't know directly where this post should go so im posting this here because its the most relevant to my situation. so I have a very nice laptop I got for Christmas back in 2018, to be exact an asus vivobook pro 17 m580vd specs: I7 7700hq, nvidia 1050 4gb 16gb ddr4 (dont remember the clock speed) 1tb hdd 256gb m.2 boot drive dont get me wrong, the cooling system is fine but this thing LOVES to get hot, even on lowest settings on modern warfare where both the cpu and gpu get to 90 and 80c respectively before it gets thermal throttled. I bought a laptop cooler for the thing but it would maybe help by a factor of 1c and that's it. ive heard replacing laptop thermal paste would be worth since stock laptops have very cheap thermal paste but would it be worth reapplying? (I have artic mx-4 if anyones wondering, I would get liquid metal but unfortunately as a college student, I really cant afford another laptop if things go south and it dies on me). any help would be appreciated
