Update 2 It works! I don't know exactly what it was, but I unplugged everything, cleaned all the thermal paste, blew all the dust off the motherboard, and it started working again.
-
CPU pins look fine to me. No signs of burn or anything. I have already reseated it. I guess I'll just go part by part cleaning and connecting again very carefully. There were some minor residues of thermal paste, maybe that's it.

I was moving my entire desk with my computer and monitor over it and suddenly the screen and peripherals turned off. Fans kept spinning. I have seen this kind of behavior before, it indicates that the CPU is not working properly or the connection between the mobo and the CPU is having issues. I say this because the CPU light on the mobo is on. My theory is that some cable got disconnected while I was moving the desk. I have taken the entire mobo of the case and connected everything again with no success. Put the CPU out and in. Only one stick of memory. Right now I am waiting a few minutes with the cmos battery out. This is kind of frustrating since it was working perfectly. The CPU is a 5600 on a B450 motherboard. PSU is NZXT C750 gold. Any tips? Update: CMOS battery out for 15 minutes and still nothing. Here is a quick video. 20231219_213546.mp4

It was worth the try, I still get the artifacts on timespy. I checked with Afterburner and the memory is supposed to be running at 1900 (950). I guess I will just install my 3060 again and feel sad that I got scammed.
-
Like this? I'm not sure what is the setting for the memory timing, the only one that I see is called memory timing control.
-
I don't see the option to downclock the ram within amd radeon or msi afterburner, it doesn't go lower than 2000. Is there any other way to do it?

I bought this GPU used a few months ago. I was able to test it at the time of the purchase, a quick run of Heaven and all seemed to be ok. I had been running the card just fine for at least 1 month (it passed several stress test like 3 Dmarks Time spy and ran 3A games just fine), but now, it has started to artifact really bad. I have wiped the drivers using AMD cleanup utility and also used DDU in the past, when I swapped out my 3060. I think this could be related to VRAM according to what I can read online. I have discarded a cable problem because the issue happens with both of my monitors, using HDMI or DP. I have experienced similar issues in the past with my RX 570, and I was able to fix it by finding a good, stable driver. Idk if that's the case here, I might do a clean install of window 10, just in case. This is really sad, I guess, I won't be buying used ever again. Is there anything that can be done to save this card or solve this issue, I would appreciate the advice. 20230929 102034.m4v

Thank you for the recommendation! I won't be using sleep on my PC from now on. I had Afterburner set to start with Windows, after disabling it, Adrenalin appears to be saving my settings. I have had an AMD GPU before, it was a great experience with some minor bugs related to my custom settings. It seems that Afterburner and Adrenalin access the same settings in the backend, and that can cause some conflicts.
-
I also find that Adrenalin Settings are buggy for me as well. I try to set a custom fan curve, but it gets reset by itself. I will try to perform a clean windows install, and check if that helps.

My PSU is 750 W, which is fine, but my UPS is just 900 VA (480W). I don't want to overload my UPS, I will get a new one, eventually. For now, I would like to lower the card energy consumption while maintaining decent performance.

I just purchased a used 6800 XT to save money. It works fine with default settings as far as I can see. Heaven benchmark and 3D mark Time Spy look perfect, and the scores are great. The moment I try to undervolt and underclock the GPU, it starts showing artifacts. Maybe, I'm being too aggressive with the settings, the GPU is degraded or perhaps a software issue (NVIDIA gpu was installed before, I used DDU, but you never know). I wonder if the 6800XT, it is just not undervolt friendly or if I got a degraded unit. Default settings: 2354 MHz at 1150 mV. My custom settings: 2250 MHz at 1075 mV. I have tried more settings, always being conservative compared to the examples I have seen online. Is there a proper way to undervolt an AMD GPU? Maybe, I'm missing something here?

Apparently uninstalling Wallpaper Engine helped because I was able to get a good Crystal Disk Mark Score (I couldn't even get scores before) and I managed to update Overwatch 2. I still want to update the firmware but even though I manually uninstalled the SATA Driver in order to get the Windows one, the tool is still not working.

I tried to do that, apparently, there is one, but it doesn't detect any SATA drive, even when opened as admin.
