pop them in slots 2 and 4, head into bios and enable XMP/DOCP

thanks for the reply, i tried it and my system become unstable, sometime bluescreen randomly appear it's about file pagging etc, i try to check the memory from cmd and the result say there is some faulty in the hardware, when i turn off the DOCP and run the test again everything fine and so the system become normal again.

  3. Hello guys, i need help to run my memory module to the rated speed, my memory is

    https://www.gskill.com/product/165/326/1562839473/F4-3600C16D-32GTZNTrident-Z-NeoDDR4-3600MHz-CL16-16-16-36-1.35V32GB-(2x16GB)

    Gskill Trident Z NEO - 3600Mhz - CL16 - (2x16GB)

    F4-3600C16-32GTZN

the rated speed on the module is 3600Mhz and i want to achieve that speed safely,

can anyone tell me how to do that ?

Motherboard : Asus TUF Gaming Plus x570

    CPU : Ryzen 9 3900x

i tried using Ryzen DRAM Calculator, but most of the tutorial out there is not what i need,

i just need to run this on safely rated speed 3600Mhz CL16 and i don't want to shorten the lifespan on my memory

so i decide to ask from this forum first before going to try it, could someone with experience help me ? thaaanksss

if you have the money go for 2080s. if you dont definitely asus 5700xt

thanks for the suggestion, many people say 2080 a bit overpriced so the good thing to choose is 2070 ? i plan to go all out when the rtx3000 and big navi come out ? will 2080s second hand sell around the same price later ? is 2080super performance around the same with 1080Ti ? without the raytrace technology ?

  5. Budget (including currency):

    Country: Indonesia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Maya, Substance Desinger, Zbrush , Vray

    Other details :

Hello guys, i have finished my PC a month ago, right now im borrowing my friend GPU, and its uneasy for me to borrow something from my friend ( i afraid if it broke somehow on me ) as listed on pcpart picker it's MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X Trio and right now i need to buy a GPU for me to use until the RTX 3000 series come out at September and maybe available in my country in around December maybe, i got several GPU option to choose with the price around $550 i could add more if it's worth the consideration.

    My Consideration :

I want to use the GPU around untill the RTX 3000 series come out so i could upgrade it to RTX 3000, not exactly upgrade soon after it come out but still

,so the main consideration i could sell the GPU again without problem getting around the same price.

    Question :

What do u guys think about other GPU brand such as : ZOTAC,PALIT,INNO3D,GALAX ? ( will it be harder to sell ? ) so i considering buying big brand GPU

    Option :

    $500 - 600 Price

    GIGABYTE Aorus GTX 1080Ti (SecondHand) - $502.06

Warranty still available until January 2021

the owner said it's only used for gaming and the GPU condition in picture still so smooth

    GIGABYTE RTX 2070 Windforce 2X (New) - $507.22

ZOTAC RTX 2070 Super AMP Twin Fan (New) - $542.30

GIGABYTE RADEON RX 5700 XT GAMING OC (New) - $467.68

Asus Radeon RX 5700 XT TUF GAMING X3 OC (New) - $481.43

or should i go with RTX 2080 or 2080Super ??

any suggestion and viewpoint on market condition right now ? the situation right now make me confused, RTX 3000 Ampere and BIG Navi News, etc

i need much information and suggestion from you guys, what is the best deal right now for my situation. thankyouu

  6. Hello i got another problem now, after buying the CyberPower UPS and test it out with my computer, my computer not holding up and suddenly turned off, after searching for so many review i found out that the thermaltake psu i got wont run with stimulated sinewave ups, this is so frustating coz this psu not listing any information about it. now i need to buy a new UPS or replace my PSU, do u guys got any suggestion like could i buy any converter to make my ups into pure sinewave or something ?

To give you the best runtimes, here is what I would recommend:

For networking equipment and other low-power devices (or just use your old UPS if the runtimes are good):    https://www.walmart.com/ip/APC-UPS-450VA-UPS-Battery-Backup-Surge-Protector-Back-UPS-BN450M/187572176

    For your computer + monitor:

    https://www.cyberpowersystems.com/product/ups/pfc-sinewave/cp1500pfclcd/

This one should work great also, would avoid the EPI one since the brand reputable is questionable and they may or may not honor their warranty if it is ever needed.

thanks im going for the cyber power

I am using a CyberPower LX1500GU UPS and it has been working great for my PC, monitor, NAS, router, and modem. Would really recommend having a line-interactive UPS instead of a standby UPS.

Is this UPS going to only be for your PC and monitor or is there anything else that you are planning to run and what run times do you want to have?

Thanks for the information and suggestion, yea cyber power looks liike a really promising brand.

yea i got everything else on my old ups, this one will only be for my montor and PC, maybe networking (?) too

i think i need around 10 ~ 15 minutes to make sure i could save every progress

the other reason is cause most of the power cut here only last like 5 ~ 10 minutes.

  9. Budget (including currency):  $250 ~ $350

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 3D Render, Texture. Workload Simulation work stuff and just some online game

Hello guys, i need an guide for choosing ups for my PC, in my country the power is really bad, its often drop and unstable,

i need a good ups with AVR to extend the lifespan of my computer (of course my PSU), i need the UPS to give me enough time for me to save my work and safely shut down

This is some UPS i consider to choose :

    UPS CyberPower Value 2200ELCD (2200VA/1320W)

with around the same budget as those anyone know better choice ? coz i dont really know so much about ups, and there is not much review i can get to choose.

like know can this hold up my psu power with monitor too ?, when the power drops this ups will be sufficient to hold up my pc power without breaking it.

if someone have a descent UPS what brand is it ? maybe i could find it here

That's too extreme, Just because 3600MHz is unlikely to run without some effort doesn't mean you should give up speed entirely.

Best priced 2x16GB kit seems like 3000MHz CL16 and 3600MHz CL18 ones, the 3000MHz ones are good enough for non-tweakers but the 3600MHz CL18 should put you away from the much weaker Hynix AFR and MFR, leaving only CJR DJR, maybe JJR, and Micron Rev E to deal with.

okaay ill go with the cheaper 3600mhz cl17 the price is same with 3600mhz cl18 here with tighter timing, thankss for all the information.

  12. 1 minute ago, Jurrunio said:

Outdated. Hynix and Micron only started shipping their high frequency capable dies (beyond 3466MHz) until very late 2018 to mid 2019, before that Samsung B-die are everywhere but after that, most are Hynix CJR (since Micron seems to supply less to other brands)

Thanksss.. that information really help me a lot, so id prefer not choose both of them coz im goin for 64 gigs, like i could just choose low speed one like 2400Mhz ? it doesn't matter coz i need to choose large capacity module or ryzen sweet spot  ?

  13. 4 hours ago, Jurrunio said:

This is definitely not Samsung B-die, the tRP and tRCD rating should be much lower if it is, i.e. no larger than 16 at 3600MHz.

Tbh Samsung B-die is really heavy on the memory controller, and at 64GB setup even the worse 3600MHz kit regardless of die type or even the 3200MHz CL16 Crucial kits are going to be bottlenecked by the memory controller before the stick themselves. In other words, you dont need better kits because capacity is the largest problem

thank you for the answer, ohh i tought it's b-die from this b-die finder https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/  and this discussion comment

    All G.Skill 2800 MHz+ 16GB modules are Samsung B-die.
F4-3600C17Q-64GTZR consists of 4x F4-3600C17-16GTZR modules so it's the same as 2x F4-3600C17D-32GTZR kits. That's why I don't list 64GB kits because it is the same as 2x 32GB kits (at least for G.Skill).

    G.Skill Trident Z RGB: F4-3600C17D-32GTZR (2x16GB 3600) has Samsung B-Die! http://rgho.st/6gHMnCdSy.view

could you confirm it ? that this is b-die or not, im still not sure

so i need to choose between high speed memory ( make the most performance of ryzen )  or large memory :( ?

  14.

Hello Guys this is my build im going to buy, just in case to know the compactibility, Please ignore the pricing it's quiet different in my country

The main question is about the RAM Memory, here in Indonesia the pricing is so bad

i want to have total of 64 gigs of ram by combining 2kits total of 4 stick of ram (4x16GB) ( coz i do rendering and stuff and also a bit gaming), i want it to be 3600Mhz at ryzen sweetspot XMP or i could learn manual overclock

the option i have here is so limited

the only good option of Gskill RAM Memory here (2x16GB B-die) is

F4-3600C17D-32GTZR that current pricing is around 200$

    F4-3600C16D-32GTZN with 120$ more cost than CL17 ( 320$)

i prefer to buy it in my country here because the retailer warranty.

in therm of performance price wise choice (at least ryzen sweetspot) which RAM kit should i choose?

could i get ryzen sweetspot ?

  15. 12 hours ago, _Syn_ said:

Don't overspend on your RAM, get the cheapest CL16 kit and you should be fine.

thank's for the suggestion the cheapest cl16 here cost around 120$ more sadly, either i could choose cl17 with 64GB or cl16 with 32GB.

also do u have know or have any experience in running 4 ram sticks of 3600mhz 16GB each total 64GB in xmp, i dont really know what ASUS TUF gaming x570 plus memory topology, daisy chain maybe (?), will they perform as advertised at least ?

  16. 8 minutes ago, boggy77 said:

sabrent rocket 4.0 is usually the same price as the samsung evo plus you picked.

thanks for the suggestion, but i can't find it here, there is no authorized retailer here

    3 minutes ago, _Syn_ said:

Holy hell you're overspending on a lot of stuff that is not even necessary for performance.

How much did you pay for RAM in your country? because 338$ is insanely overpriced, you could get 2x16GB 3600Mhz for 150$ and if you desperately need RGB then there's another kit for 190$, and the PSU is unnecessarily expensive as well, you won't even see any of the RGB stuff on it.

How much are you paying for that 2080Ti in your country? 1900$ is insanely overpriced.

Changed the RAM, GPU and PSU and went from a 500GB SSD to a 1TB SSD.

I suggest you return what you bought and get this instead, or if you can then you can keep the SSD and PSU and you would still be around the same price point.

    Here's another with a 3950X

    Thanks for the suggestion,

that ram actually not that expensive i got it with like around 200$ here, the ram listed isn't selling here (F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC) and is it b-die ?, this is the cheaper alternatives i could find here ( F4-3600C17D-32GTZR) than the Trident Z Neo F4-3600C16D-32GTZN that cost around 120$ more, i should blame the only one official retailer here :V.

the GPU i just about to choose it MSI VENTUS OC, until i find out it's overpriced here, around 200$ more than Zotac amp.

i'll consider your point on this suggestion and adjust it with the pricing in my country thaanks

  17. 4 minutes ago, Plouffe said:

Can make sense then, I'd look at better priced SSD (any physon E12 (cheaper) or E16 (probably same price) for PCIe 4.0), PSU (650W should be more than enough) and GPU (this one is very overpriced).

i see, i got the psu with descent price thats why i go for it haha, i hear PCIe 4.0 ssd still too expensive atm, so i go for this x570 board actually only for viable upgrade for next gen gpu that support pcie 4.0 (wasted pcie4.0 ssd lol ), i plan to use the adata sx8200 1TB for the other m.2 ssd slot, but if i got some more money to burn definitely gonna go for the pcie 4 ssd in the future.

    Hello,

Unless you're doing rendering or blender this is completely overkill.

thanks for the opinion haha, actually i do a lot of 3D modelling in maya, zbrush, etc  and some light simulation manymore visual stuff and i think i need this spec hahaha..., i'm following this guide actually https://www.cgdirector.com/best-computer-3d-modeling-rendering

just in case i'm not buying the cpu and gpu soon until the the issue of rtx 3000 and another ryzen cpu come out and see the price impact on the market.

  19. Hello guys, im new to the forum right now im struggling to build my first pc and need some suggestion

This is the list of component for my first PC build, any suggestion ??

i have brought some of the parts :

    PSU,Samsung SSD,RAM 1x (dual-channel 2x16GB) planning to buy another again to 64GB, Motherboard

The total budget i got is around $3800 (exclude monitor) or more if i see it's a viable upgrade

    i live in indonesia

i will mainly use this pc for 3D modelling, texturing, video editing, rendering but also gaming.

i put my monitor i already have just in case.

actually i got question about the ram memory :

i go for the Gskill Trident Z with 3600Mhz at CL17 with 2x16 and planning to go for 4x16 in the future

the CL17 at 3600Mhz at 4 ram stick running with xmp, will there be any problem ? like could i get the advertised result ? 3600Mhz

    thanks for any suggestion..
