    The motherboard is proprietary it comes from a HP pavilion 590-p0024. The PC wasn't even on but when I tried to start it up it fried. I don't have alot of information on the MB other than what's on front of me but where it's is burnt is right next to an "black 8 pin connector" this is what the MB looks like. Other than that I don't have much else information.

    My motherboard in my PC shorted out. Just trying to figure out what specifically shorted. Is it the power regulator or controller? Here's a pic. Thanks.
